A federal appeals court in Cincinnati on Wednesday upheld the health-care law passed by Congress last year, saying the law's requirement for most Americans to carry insurance or pay a penalty is constitutional.

The vote was 2-1 on the three-judge panel on the key question of whether the insurance requirement exceeded Congress's powers under the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution. The majority concluded that it did not.

I would not bet the farm on it. They may not take it, or, there is an equal chance that they will affirm it.

The House should defund a lot of the Liberal Judgeships and eliminate their offices.

I will only say this.

A person only has as much power over you as you give them.

I have taken all of my power back.

All of it.

I reject the tyranny of those in black robes.

I reject the tyranny of the US fedral government.

I will die before I submit to tyranny.

This is America, this is where the Freedom Of God lives.

If SCOTUS has the power to “decide” what is and what is not Constitutional Then SCOTUS not the Constitution is the supreme law(err oligarchs) of the land.

Congress need not bother to presuppose amendment and ask for 3/4ths of the States to approve. They simply need to have the president hand pick judges that let them do whatever they want and mandate whatever they want with their supreme dictatorial power.

The Federal Constitution of 1787 is DEAD. The bounds of our union have in its place become repressive force.

Bull. He put Alito on SCOTUS, replacing that dolt Sandra Day O'Connor. She, a Reagan appointee, did more damage than this clown on the Sixth Circuit.

Super duper BS. It's amazing how many still have that little memory slip. W nominated Harriet Meirs for the second SCOTUS opening, and only after a near uprising of conservatives did he back off and appoint Alito, and not before Laura called us all sexists.

And some believe that he desired to appoint Alberto Gonzalez to the first opening, but was dissuaded from that in private.

W's handling of the SCOTUS openings deserves little or no praise. The dissuaders, public and private, deserve the praise.

I still have some faith in the SCOTUS but if they don’t do the right thing the Congress will have to repeal it or the states will have to nullify it. If nobody shows up to play the thing is dead anyway. One way or the other we have to drive a stake in its heart.

I think it is not gonna happen. We are stuck with it now. It is a planned failure leading to socialist medicine. The GOP will whine and cave as usual.

“If the Fed Gubmint can tell you that you have to purchase health insurance from a 3rd party, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CANNOT TELL YOU TO PURCHASE.

Let SCOTUS say this is Constitutional and watch the result (in the streets).”

Not in the streets, we need to take over our State legislators, and prepare to wage a revolutionary war to reclaim our freedom.

That means raising & training our militias and purging the existing National guard of disloyal officers(we will need to add them and their equipment to our force), and issuing our last warring against the traitorous Federal Government demanding redress.

When the last efforts for a peaceful resolution fail our states will need to start taking possession of significant Federal Facility(to prohibit counter attack and expand our fighting force). Ultimately this means marching on on Washington D.C. in order to capture the Federal tyrants for trial, and otherwise secure the “seat of power” from those tyrants. Make it clear they no longer control theses once united States.

The final Step is to call a 2nd Constitutional convention, with the stipulation that the failure of such a convention would be the dissolution of the union.

Random violence in the streets wont get us anywhere, They don’t care if we wreck our own city’s and homes. They only care about their lives and their limitless power over us.

It is theses things we must threaten and otherwise take away from them by force when necessary.

I think it’s time we consider what we are going to do if the Supreme Court does uphold this. I personally think at that point, it will time for some Civil Disobediance.

DITTO'S

If they do, it would then be time to seriously consider the alternative to taking this country back the way it was won from King George.

I for one, will never lay down and allow them to finish me off without a serious fight.

My fiancee’ says if the GOP keeps caving at some point they are going to be hanging from the lightposts on Pennsylvania Ave. I hope they get the picture soon.

I am starting to wonder if we should even call their actions “caving”. Maybe it is just who they are? Horrors.

My family and I will move out of the Country if the law stands. I will NEVER be told to buy something with my own money by government, and try to make me buy from them after closing down all the competition , at greater expense and less coverage so a bunch of illegals can get insurance. Eff them all. They can eff right off.

EFFERS!

The SCOTUS has yet to rule. And this ruling will be overturned.

SCOTUS checks congress and the Executive branches. That is supposed to be their job. SOCTUS DOES have the power to decide whether legislation is constitutional or not. Look up “Judicial Right of Review” something that has been done by SCOTUS for well over 100 years.

As for the rest, the constitution has been ignored for FAR too long. Thats why we have to get off our comfy butts and go work to elect representatives that will roll back these unconstitutional measures. Otherwise the only remedy left to us is to replace this form of government.
