Pella Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin was welcomed by hundreds of media and fans as she made her way into the Pella Opera House for the premiere of a documentary based on her political career, "The Undefeated."
The film is currently playing to a crowd of over 300 inside the historic opera house. Members of the media were not allowed inside the screening, nor are they allowed inside the enclosed barbecue area on the Mulengracht.
Palin arrived in jeans and a button-down shirt with husband, Todd, in tow. She made her way through the hundreds of onlookers, signing autographs and shaking hands as she strolled down Franklin Street into the Opera House.

Where is Pella?
Iowa.
South central Iowa. Used to be town of 6-8000, probably 10-12 now. She was there Tuesday night for the documentary “Undefeated” premiere.
It was a blast. One of the most enjoyable nights I’ve had. The Palins were as nice as could be; same with Andrew Breitbart. Just a good time had by all.
Thanks. NH, Iowa...I’m sensing a trend here. Let’s see if next stop on her book/movie tour is South Carolina.

I thought it quite auspicious she would select that little town; it really has an American Dream, hard work, community-based, God-fearing story. Spent a lot of time there as a youth. Went to Central for a year.
I hope the Palins got to enjoy some of the best that SE Iowa has to offer.
Used to go to Osky to get mice for my Boa Constrictor which was a big hit with my great aunt and her quilting circle. Got loose in the house for a few weeks once.
Pella Bologna, dried beef and stringy chicken (old hen) sandwiches were a mainstay.
Sarah did not select the town. The movie producer picked it and then he invited Sarah to come to the premiere.
Your great aunt got loose?
LOL. Found her up in my box springs after a few weeks. She was thirsty and ready for another mouse or two. When she was really hungry I’d get her a hamster but I chloroformed them first so they wouldn’t bite and tear her scales.
And pray tell what inspired that?
Pella Windows in his vacation home? A Vermeer Baler in his shed?
I’m not looking it up for you, but someplace I heard him telling how he came to choose that site and Sarah had nothng to do with it, except that I’m sure he knew that Sarah’s presence would draw attention to the film. He wants to make money so he can get his one million back. That’s all I’ve got to say about that.
Thanks- not meaning to be burdensome. Thought you might have actual insight. Capitalism does look for ROI.
