To all undecided conservative voters

An Open Letter to Honest Conservatives who are still undecided:

Since her botched introduction to the American People by the McCain campaign, it's been an incredible battle for Sarah Palin to get her message out through the fog of misinformation thrown out by the Obama-Loving media, and the RINO's looking after their own self-interests.

Right from the start, operatives within the GOP working for McCain fed a hungry media with just the lies that they craved. What a coincidence, they were Romney operatives who'd joined the McCain team, but never stppoed working for Romney. They did immeasurable damage to her, as the public still had a fuzzy idea of who she really was. After all, we're so used to finding out that these political figures have "Feet of Clay", so of course it was easy to spread these lies to a gullible public.

Even through all that, Americans liked Sarah enough to turn out in record numbers to see and hear her. She was probably responsible for preventing a Goldwater-like loss in the General Election.

Of course, no good deed ever goes unpunished. The Obama team knew that she was the "Real Deal", and set about using their enormous influence to make Governing Alaska an impossibility. Coupled with their gleeful abuse of the Alaskan ethics laws, with the full-fledged cooperation of the Alaskan state GOP, and her ability to Govern was completely nullified. Worse, they had the ability to drive the costs of her defense well beyond what she could afford. They had resorted to every dirty trick they knew, but they had defeated her, or so they thought.

It didn't take long for the whole country to find that rumors of her demise were greatly exaggerated, however. Just as the country was struggling to wrap their collective minds around the intricacies of the proposed "Obama-care", Sarah sent her first Facebook missile across the blogosphere, and within days, the debate had become "Death Panels". While the bill was forced through by whatever means necessary, the GOP was emboldened by this rallying cry, and held firm, forcing the Dems to own the legislation. The legislation is so unpopular that waivers from the system are a prized commodity, and congress and key unions are notably exempted from this legislation that they wanted so badly for the rest of us.

Since then, a Sarah Palin appearance commands international attention, and she's launched several more prescient Facebook postings, ranging from Energy policy to our foreign policy, and any number of issues of the day.

The mid-term elections of 2010 were a resounding success for the GOP, mainly due to the influence of the recently amalgamation of citizens who called themselves the TEA Party. While many openly begged Sarah to run for the 2012 Presidency under the TEA Party name, she instead counseled patience with the GOP, suggesting instead that the GOP still offered the best path to where we want to go. All they needed to do was to follow their own stated principles, and the rest would fall into place.

Obviously, she had some impact, because they won a record number of seats, and several candidates like John McCain, Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry won tough re-elections with high profile support from Sarah. Additionally, unknowns like Nikki Haley, Kelly Ayotte, Susana Martinez and many more benefitted immensely from Sarah's public backing. In short, she was the "Game-Changer".

But within days of the mid-terms, the GOP insiders flexed their muscle, blamed Sarah for not winning every seat, and started a whispering campaign within the beltway that taking her out was mission #1 for the GOP as soon as possible. Quotes by the ever-popular "Anonymous Souces", and "GOP Insiders" began circulating from everyone from Joe Scarborough, Karl Rove, and even former First Lady Barbara Bush, denigrating Sarah, and wishing she'd just go back to Alaska.

Then, in an act of either treachery, cowardice, or both, they stood by in what appeared to be silent approval as she was blamed for being a co-conspirator in murder, due to the deranged lefty assassin who was obsessed with Congresswoman Giffords of Tucson. As the left-wing media gleefully threw reckless and malicious charges at the TEA Party, Talk Radio, and mostly Sarah, they seemed delighted to let her twist in the wind. Few came to her defense, a noteworthy silence, especially from those who she must have thought were her reliable friends. Finally, she offered a spirited defense of Freedom of Speech, and the TEA Party, and was immediately accused of making it "All about her". From that point forward, the GOP felt free tp treat her as an unmentionable. thus erasing the obvious debt that they owed her.

Now, as the 2 year statute of limitations approaches, we see the GOP furiously pushing Bachmann, Perry, ANYONE BUT PALIN as the real conservative they just know we want. Meanwhile, the big money Wall Streeters are coalescing around Romney, realizing that he'll protect their interests in the new Health Care mandates, the Cap-and-Trade mandates, and their investments in subsidized energy. They do know that the American people hate all these schemes, and they also know that Sarah Palin can talk to the American People like no one since Ronald reagan has, and she scares the living hell out of them. Barack Obama they can live with, after all, he's just a cheap populist, telling his base whatever they want to hear. At the end of the day, they've done well under his presidency, and they'll do well under a Romney Presidency.

My fellow conservatives, as Independence Day approaches, remember that our Founders intended for us to be free of the shackles of a Government that doesn't represent the people, but rather it's own interests, at our expense. This next election offers us the opportunity to take it back, and restore our country to it's original intent. I ask all true conservatives to consider Sarah Palin for the Presidency as you think about the country that we'll leave to our Children and our Grandchildren. I can't imagine going through all the crap that she's gone through, unless she really believes in her message. So, please see "The Undefeated", educate yourself on her real record, and join her in the fight to Restore America!

I’ll seriously consider Sarah Palin for the Presidency when she announces she is a candidate. I’m not going to spend a lot of time spinning wheels.

I’ve already decided. Gov. Palin will be my first choice, if/when she announces her candidacy.

I’ve already decided. Gov. Palin will be my first choice, if/when she announces her candidacy. Until then, there are actual candidates to consider now. IMO, there’s nothing else to decide as far as supporting her goes now, other than that.

The ball is in her court.

The future of America is at stake. There are sound reasons for her decision to delay her official announcement. I’m impatient myself, but she’s well worth the wait. There is no one, nor has there been anyone like Gov. Palin for decades. Investigate her yourself, and you’ll understand the excitement. Bob

Palin is making money the good old fashioned way... and that is an American right of passage called Capitalism... but she never made a dime off of farm subsidies or any other form of government handouts.

Excellent essay.

As you portray her situation (and I agree with you) she faces just about all the organized power bases there are and, should she see the time is not yet right, she may take a hard look at what Arizona politics offers for an interim position.

Yawn. I was at three of her rallies in 2008. Spoke to her at a book signing last year. I find her shrill and annoying.

0 will beat her like a rented mule. Why? Because the middle doesn't get her and you cannot win without the middle.

Oh and before you launch an attack ala Palinista style, check my credentials. I actually knew Ronald Reagan and worked on ALL of his presidential campaigns.

Really, so she return all of the state, redistribution of oil tax money, checks. Where do you find that, I thought they cashed them.

my only argument is that she had extremely positive polling results through a good portion of the campaign. She took hits after that Couric interview, but the damage really started after the election when the media meme was to twist the exit polling results to show that she cost McCain the election. This was not true, but became the narrative of the left.

I believe she would have to run a campaign of the ages to beat Obama, but I do not dismiss her chances. The middle isn’t going to vote for four more years of misery. I get some of her negatives, including her speaking style in front of large crowds, but she also can be trained to do it differently to be more effective. I lean towards other candidates at this point, but she could win me over on the trail.

The middle has been instructed to think that she’s crazy. Some have believed this and followed like obedient sheep. But Hitlery’s numbers were in the tank too, and her image changed almost overnight, thanks to slick marketing. Once Sarah wins the nomination, all bets are off. She not only can, but MUST win. Can I say that I too thought that she was poorly utilized in ‘08? Speaking McCain’s handlers’ words, I thought that parts of her speeches were stupid and lame. I attended one in Scranton myself. Sarah as Sarah is a whole new ballgame, Friend! Blessings, Bob

She gave that money back to the people that owned the oil reserves. Every citizen of Alaska... not a subset of an industry that is propped up with Federal subsidies. Nice try... not really.

There you go again, exaggerating. You give Palin credit for what Jay Hammond did in 1977? (Permanent Fund Dividend)

All Palin did was overcharge the Oil companies so they were forced to cut back production.
