A Rogue Warrior's Strategy for Conservatives
American Thinker ^ | July 9, 2011 | Rob Cunningham

Posted on 07/08/2011 11:48:02 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

During this anniversary month that marks America's independence, and inspired by a personal sense of patriotism, I implore every freedom loving American to see Stephen K. Bannon's documentary on the life and career of Sarah Palin. And furthermore, every conservative, Tea Party activist, free-market capitalist, persons of faith or no-faith, and all influential leaders, regardless of whom their preferred 2012 presidential candidate might actually be, should leverage all their talents, skills, resources and creativity to ensure the maximum number of people experience this movie in public theaters.

Stay with me on this, please.

Why do I make this claim? The simple clarity and raw truth offered in "The Undefeated" stands at the ready to educate tens of millions of citizens, perhaps influencing an entire generation of voters. This documentary deeply connects, on both an intellectual and emotional level, and stirs one's very soul. This film brilliantly serves as a modern-day case study, and clearly illustrates how our agenda-driven news media, entertainment industry and political power brokers brazenly operate, in plain view and with cold-blooded intentionality, in a tireless attempt to destroy a very decent fellow citizen. When presented with basic facts, Americans will recoil in disgust.

If principled republicans, tea-partiers and libertarians choose to no longer remain silent, misinformed or "neutral" while one of our strongest and most influential "movement conservatives" is repeatedly and falsely attacked, we will empower every single person and candidate within our movement.

If, as members of the modern grass roots movement, we individually or collectively fail to mount an informed and honorable public defense of one of our generation's most influential, ethical and popular figures, then I submit we are surrendered our courage. What message are we communicating to our neighbors and children if we stand by in silence as one of our most courageous, honorable and accomplished leader receives regular virtual stonings from our friends, family and media?

Sarah Palin brings positive energy, enormous influence and massive financial support to the entire conservative movement and all advocates of limited government. Regardless of her ultimate decision to run in 2012 or not to run, each person in America that holds a sense of fairness and appreciation for truth, should personally commit to seeing the upcoming movie "The Undefeated." Viewers will become more informed and perhaps even more appreciative of our movement's most prolific ambassador, recruiter and advocate.

The Sarah Palin I deeply appreciate, the accomplished, effective and popular citizen of Alaska, was the highest rated U.S. Governor in the history of Gallup polling, one who maintained statewide favorability ratings that exceeded 80% during both 2007 and 2008. She actually enjoyed an Alaska voter approval rating of 88% on the very August day in 2008 she was selected as the Republican party's vice presidential candidate. Her life is remarkably extraordinary, yet one our traditional media refuses to tell.

In no manner whatsoever is it being suggested that one's movie attendance equates to support for, or an endorsement of, Sarah Palin. However, the entire conservative movement will become dramatically empowered, in direct proportion to, the actual number of people that witness this film. This movie delivers a liberating education and razor sharp awareness of the methods used both by the media and establishment politicians from the left and the right. It will awaken the senses for those previously unconvinced of exactly how the modern day "progressive" movement comfortably uses lies, ridicule, false narratives and intellectual laziness to mislead their audiences. This movie delivers a massive body blow to the media, it dilutes the effectiveness of liberal scare tactics and will vaccinate millions against infection from traditional "news" reporting. By powerfully highlighting the media's methods of distortion, one of the most powerful weapons used against all conservatives, is damaged.

"The Undefeated" will be released the week of July 15th through July 21st at AMC theatres in 10 major US cities. A positive reception at each of these theaters is critical to ensuring a much larger national audience benefits from this film. Those interested can purchase tickets online at http://theundefeated.cinedigm.com/tickets.html.

In one July week, our entire conservative movement can become enormously stronger if we work together and "get out the viewers." Invite a few friends, visit with your neighbors or organize a youth group. By making a concerted effort to better educate ourselves and our fellow citizens, the best and brightest conservative leaders across our nation will benefit.

It's easy to make a point. It is so much harder to make a difference. If conservatives in ten cities become engaged and encourage all they can to attend "The Undefeated," we'll each be making a positive difference in America. We'll be helping to bring educational value to a generation of citizens and possibly impacting their lives, forever.

Just as millions of Christians went against the grain to attend The Passion of the Christ" conservatives, libertarians and all Tea Partiers should do the same with "The Undefeated" no matter who your favorite candidate may currently be.

Time for conservatives to stand up on their hind legs and take a stand..
Take a stand with family, friends, co-workers and neighbors..

Liberals and rinos and moderates need to reach the end of their chains.. and get choked..
They are mad dogs..

Who in their right mind can be for the Obama agenda..
If they are they need to be challenged.. poked.. prodded.. and given the “evil eye”..
The time for live and let live is over..

If not now then WHEN?..
If you are a coward admit it.. lead, follow or get the hell out of the way..

Agree. I’m going to send the $100 to Sarah PAC in order to get the pre-release version of the movie. Then when it comes out on DVD I will buy the finished version of the movie. I want to be able to hold viewing parties for various groups..

That's a great idea for anyone here who lives too far from a theatre showing "The Undefeated" or who knows a lot of people who wouldn't necessarily pay to go to the film or cannot afford to.

If this movie can help to advance liberty, then it should be viewed by citizens in every community.

If future generations are to know liberty, then today is the day when those who call themselves "conservatives" must come together around the set of enduring ideas of liberty of 1776 and 1787!

Another set of counterfeit ideas now threaten to return America and the world to the darkness of tyranny and oppression.

Current events have triggered a very public, citizen, involvement in a battle of ideas which has been going on for decades! The problem is that, until now, most Americans went about their business and ignored it.

Today, they are engaged and beginning to learn the difference between two conflicting ideas about freedom and coercive government control. America's Founders identified the conflicting ideas as liberty versus tyranny. By Lincoln's time, he had a clear understanding of it and said this: "The world has never had a good definition of the word 'liberty.' And the American people just now are much in want of one. We all declare for liberty; but in using the same word we do not mean the same thing . . . . The shepherd drives the wolf from the sheep's throat, for which the sheep thanks the shepherd as his liberator, while the wolf denounces him for the same act . . . . Plainly, the sheep and the wolf are not agreed upon a definition of liberty."

But Lincoln could distinguish between real liberty and a counterfeit idea. Of the American idea, Lincoln declared:

"Most governments have been based practically, on the denial of the rights of men. Ours began by affirming those rights . . . . [These opposing ideas] are the two principles that have stood face to face from the beginning of time; and will ever continue to struggle . . . . It [denial of individual Creator-endowed rights] is the same principle in whatever shape it develops itself. . . it is the same tyrannical principle."

Of the Founding principle, Lincoln said: ". . . it is no child's play to save the principles of Jefferson from total overthrow in this nation. . . .The principles of Jefferson are the definitions and axioms of free society . . . And yet, they are denied, and evaded, with no small show of success. . . All honor to Jefferson - to the man who, in the concrete pressure of a struggle for national independence by a single people, had the coolness, forecast, and capacity to introduce in a . . . revolutionary document, an abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times, and so to embalm it there, that today, and in all coming days, it shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block to the very harbingers [initiators of threatening change] of reappearing tyranny and oppression."

Yes, the battle of ideas is re-engaged in America today, in a manner not seen for decades.

American citizens are utilizing the new technologies that make possible close examination of the Founders' ideas in many collections online such as those at Liberty USA Foundation, WallBuilders, and in new books, such as Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny." They are returning to the Founders' own explanation of their Constitution in THE FEDERALIST and to 1987's Bicentennial Year volumes such as "Our Ageless Constitution." See

Just as in Lincoln's day, those who try to fool the people into believing their definition of liberty is authentic are being exposed for the charlatans they are--mere men who wish to gain power over the lives of millions.

They are being exposed by the "self-evident truths" "embalmed" in that revolutionary document described by Lincoln.

They can read the Founders' intent that ours is not a government's Constitution to limit people. Rather, it is "We, the People's" Constitution to be used, according to Jefferson, to "bind them (government) down by the chains of the Constitution."

What we are seeing now is a battle between forces who have one charismatic, but mere mortal (Krauthammer's description of Obama), man out there carrying the water for changing that concept in the minds of citizens who, they thought, had been dumbed down by decades of neglect and censorship of the ideas of liberty.

Providence may have outwitted them by allowing the development of technologies that make the Founders' ideas a powerful tool in the new battle

I am currently reading “The Original Argument” by Glenn Beck and Joshua Charles. I am re-igniting old brain cells and remembering how truly exceptional America really is. I am also about half-way through “America By Heart” by Sarah Palin, and just finished “Demonic” by Ann Coulter. All extremely good books! I do not particularly like Ann Coulter, however, she hit the ball out of the park with this book. It will explain a great deal about the “mob” mentality of the liberal/progressive movement in this country.

It is obvious that our educational system has failed miserably for our children. Liberal teachers don’t believe in what these incredible men fought and stood for. The Constitution is a beautiful document, perfected throughout the years to what WE THE PEOPLE now are. Patrick Henry wrote “The Constitution is NOT an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government, lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”

NOTE to those of you who have macular degeneration, I just got a Nook Color, which is a backlit electronic reader. After many years of not being able to read a normal book, I am enjoying the written word once more. It is an incredible piece of technology. The books are very reasonable, and I would strongly suggest you purchase the Nook and Nook Books directly through Barnes & Noble.

Regardless of Sarah’s political future, Conservatives must push forward with no less the energy and faith already assigned to the promise of President Palin.

Sarah is the Conservative in the mirror.
