Glenn Beck was given a unique opportunity on Monday while visiting Israel: he delivered a rousing speech before the Jewish version of congress, called the Knesset.
“Where you go, I shall go, Your people is my people, your God is my God,” Beck said, quoting the book of Ruth while addressing the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee.
“As a man who also worships the one God, in the times that we live in, it is clear that what is going on is God’s work. If we are silent, evil will win. But if we stand up and take charge, God will do the rest,” he added, according to the Jerusalem Post.
He also encouraged members to reach out to those of other faiths:
“If you go to a synagogue, reach out to a church. If you go to a church, reach out to a JCC. Say, will you watch this with me? After that we’ll talk and eat and get to know one another.”

I am a Christian. I was contrasting Becks god and the God of the Jews. I didn't say it right and what I wrote is not what I meant to write. My fault all the way. My God did take the form of a man in Jesus Christ.

I have asked the mod to remove my comment, it wasn’t what I meant at all. I meant that God the Father was not a created Being and of course I believe that God the Son came here as a man. I just messed up big time and hope the mod removes it. My apologies to all.
They can share the credit somewhat but they received their values and westernized because of the Hebrews. 2/3rds of their book including the moral code (commands) they live by came from the Hebrews. Its great you want to share but lets not go overboard.

I find it fascinating that, instead of being grateful that one's personal religion enables one to find a way to reach out to God, that the common attitude is to decide that that limited, personal understanding is the only way God may be reached for anyone - all while declaring God infinite.
But infinite... means infinite.
We live in God's universe - God doesn't live in ours.
God does what God does.

I’m sure you meant this for me but in Poland and Germany, many of the people who sent Jews to the gas chambers were Christians. You’ve never met a Christian who was a bad person?
BTW, I’m not Jewish or Mormon. I’m evangelical raised Catholic but study church history. In Europe, jewish hatred is much more common than in the USA. Back in wwII it was VERY common.
Of course it wasn’t all Christians doing it. Stalin and the radical pro-Germany agnostic Nazi’s did most of damage to the Jewish people.
I really wonder if Glenn realizes to whom Ruth said that and why. I wonder, too, if he realizes what will transpire for lying to God’s chosen people?
When those airplanes flew into those twin towers, it woke Glenn up, along with a myriad of others who, up until then were happy watching Two and a half Men on TV. In a round about way, there is some good that came out of all that chaos and destruction. Just as the passing of Obamacare has rousted millions of Americans awake as to the direction the Democrats and this sick president is taking our county. So, there is even some good there, that being an awakening and the beginning of the Tea Party etc. (in my humble opinion)Bottom line: even feces can be used as fertilizer.

One of the little niggling things that bothers me on occasion about Glenn's stand is his disconnect with his own chosen religion. He rightly has spent a great deal of time pointing out that the founders of this nation were believers in God, were Christians, and perhaps inspired by God in the founding of this nation. Yet Mormonism teaches that a total apostasy existed in the world until Joseph Smith came along and 're-established' christianity as Joseph interpreted it. Puzzling stuff that.

Beck is a convert to Mormonism — he still thinks in terms of his former belief in the Christian God.

I must have been missinformed.But it still begs to question why the Church leadership did nothing to help the Jews.And how is it that the Pope thinks he can forgive sins,when scripture is plain that only God can forgive sins.
