In related news, Mexican and Canadian retailers are gearing-up for a big increase in mail orders for incandescent bulbs. Moron Dems just never get it, do they?

I prefer the fluorescent bulbs. They are kinder to my electric bill. Having said that, now government is trying to force people to make the switch. I do not prefer that.

Flourescents are old technology. LED's are the future, and they have the added benefit of not being filled with mercury. GE is obviously throwing money around with their lobbyists.

Be prepared for when the libs will demand that we all use LED lights. Bet on it!

I have heard about the LEDs and will definitely go with them when they arrive. Any idea on the timeline?

All of this partisan bullshite is really pissing me off.
The only reason the Dems want to shoot this down is because it is sponsored by a Republican and Boehner is giving the business to Their Boy Obama.
To hell with what is good for the country and to hell with what We The People want. It's all about tit for tat you know.

I like them for some things.
They were better when they were made in the USA.

One more glaring sign of the utter uselessness of the dim bulb Republicans.

I see that Lowes has them. Forty dollars a pop though. I would imagine that they would last almost forever due to the efficiency. The heat thing.

And how much will an LED light with the equivalent lighting ability of a 100 Watt Incandescent bulb cost?
To: cripplecreek
Ugghh, you were right. Must be more careful in the future.
To: He Rides A White Horse
Any idea on the timeline? You can get them right now.
BJ's Wholesale Club has them. 40w max and their $20 each. No thanks. I'll keep buying cases of the incandescents.

RE: I prefer the fluorescent bulbs
Are there any rules in your area as to how you are going to dispose them when they run out?
To: He Rides A White Horse
Its purely my own opinion that they were better when they were American made.
I just felt that they lasted longer and put out a better soft white light.
The chinese made crap comes pre broken.
