despite the incessant repetition of the line, “The case is closed.” At its root, this book is as much a call to arms against the notion of automatic deference to experts as it is a refutation of anthropogenic global warming. It might as well be called, Well, You Say That. So What?

The line "the case is closed" is what they say because they can not refute the facts that their theory is wrong. They are liars.

This book sounds very droll and apt, sort of Coulteresque. I’m going to buy it. This guy needs to be rewarded for standing up for the truth.

Another book along the same lines is “Set Up & Sold Out” by Holly Swanson. She started researching the environmentalist movement a long time ago, & made the connection of the ‘red’ greens.

Delingpole is merciless when it comes to slagging the greenies. One of the best. He calls them on every hypocrisy and every bogus faked report

Although I certainly appreciate the efforts of Delingpole, I don’t really understand what’s going on “across the pond”. Is Europe completely devoid of truthful news? Do they have internet access in Europe? Is it simply the case that the people are ignorant dullards?

The “global warming” scam has been dead and buried here in the United States for at least a year, yet many in Europe apparently still consider it to be a legitimate issue. It’s weird. If I was a European I’d be embarrassed and ashamed by my own countrymen.

(Okay, I do acknowledge that maybe Europe’s general populace rolls its eyes over all this “global warming’ blather and it is only Europe’s socialist press that is keeping the “global warming” scam on a respirator, thereby soiling the reputation of all of Europe.)

It's a useful distraction from the farce of the European Union and the Eurozone's unraveling from their debt crises.

For Delingpole, the “appeal to authority” fallacy, on which much of what he describes as “Post-Normal Science” relies, is the fundamental mechanism by which the Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) fraud is advanced and perpetuated.

Changing the tone of how we talk about AGW might have a beneficial effect, as the presumptions tacit to terminology communicate the authority of a supposedly common understanding.

I propose a new acronym for starters, AGW should be changed to Anthropogenic Global Warming Fraud (AGWF). Upon its use of course, one would be asked "What is the "F" for?" Whereupon one replies, "Don't you know? Really??? It is FRAUD sir!"

...Delingpole considers the global climate-change movement to be not only wrong on the facts, but at heart a proxy movement that provides convenient cover for, at best, socialism; at worst totalitarianism; and, on its fringes, downright misanthropy.

Totalitarianism...it's always been about control.

About 7 bucks; and if you want to go back to something you read, you can bookmark the place, highlight it or do a search for it. Much more fun reading that way.

"Since London’s Royal Society was established in 1660, its motto has been Nullius in verba, which translates into English as “Take no man’s word for it.”

Oh, I like that. I'm stealing it.
