The hearings that Issa conducted yesterday must have really opened a can of worms. It was reported that 2 of 6 witnesses received letters from the ATF asking them to limit testimony. hmmmm Wonder where that came from?

I say that this entire mess is just SCREAMING for an INDEPENDENT COUNSEL and very possibly for hearings on IMPEACHMENT to begin.
“Pefect storm of idiocy” mischaracterizes these activities - deliberately. They were conceived and carried out for the explicitly evil purpose of undermining the US Constitution, specifically the 2nd Amendment. As such, its originators and participants are traitors due the full Constitutional measure of punishment.

They both deserve medals. Preferably something with an annual stipend and priority parking for life. IMO, they've earned it.
The Treasury and Justice depts will be portrayed as an inept and bungling bureaucracies, when, in reality, they are machiavellian, with malice and hostility to the 2nd Amendment.
It sure screws up the "whole truth" part of the oath to give truthful testimony.
Congress has the power to defund and disband the ATF. Anything less than that has Congress complicit in keeping the federal boot on the neck of the people. Best I can tell, Congress likes having an ATF do the work of enforcing a number of unconstitutional federal laws that prohibit and regulate the private possession and transfer of small arms and ammunition.
Congress also has the power to repeal the federal laws that ATF enforces.
SEEMS TO ME THEY DON’T HAVE MUCH TO DO WITH ALCOHOL OR TOBACCO, JUST FIREARMS.........
From Dodd-Frank to F&F gunwalking. One thing is sure about Dummies. They never ever follow a plan to each logical conclusion. Therefore they never see the unintended consequences of their actions. Or maybe they do and don’t care as long as it gets a vote.
Further, the ATF was originally a TAXING agency. Once their duties were transferred over under the DoJ, they lost whatever legitimacy they may have once had when they were collecting and registering tax stamps.
Next to NASA and the EPA, they are the most corrupt and unConstitutional organ in the Federal system. Period.
