I wrote him the other day just before the vote urging him to vote no on the debt ceiling bill that does nothing but expand big spending, big borrowing, big taxing big government while simultaneously diluting our fiscally responsible constitutional representative power in the House. The above letter was his wimpy excuse for his sellout vote.

Here's my reply:

Received your wimpy response regarding your debt limit sellout vote. Sorry, Jeff, you appear to be just another business as usual RINO. Big disappointment. Radanovich [my prior rep who retired last year] assured us you were a fiscal conservative. You apparently have no idea why we sent you to Washington. It was to STOP the runaway spending, borrowing and taxing!! With votes like this, you are the definition of EPIC FAIL!!

Get your act together or get OUT!!

We the TEA party will be watching and looking for a replacement.

Regards,

Jim Robinson

------------------------------------------------------------

As we all know, there was absolutely zero chance of default. That was simply a scare tactic being used by Obama and our money printing tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, who is now happily printing and giving away billions of dollars thanks to easily duped turncoats like Jeff Denham. We had Obama and the big spenders in a corner. Their only emergency was that they we're going to be forced into deciding what to cut in a big hurry. And if they effed up and cut the wrong things and pissed off the people, then their jobs would be in jeopardy. They we're scared witless and that's right where we wanted them.

When the people fear the government, we have tyranny. When the government fears the people, we have Liberty!!

But our cowardly turncoat friend Denham here and others like him ran up the white flag of surrender.

Well, we the TEA party people are now mad as HELL and we're not going to take it anymore!!

We have not yet begun to fight!!

This bill does nothing "to shrink a federal government that has done nothing but expand for the past 40 years." It does nothing to cut the budget. In fact, it allows just the opposite. It allows additional untold trillions in borrowing and spending (and future taxing because soon we will have to pay the piper). And sorry, Jeff, but allowing big debt, big spending now in exchange for promises of cuts down the road and a possible introduction of a balanced budget amendment is just silly. It's Denham's folly! WE'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE! IT DOESN'T WORK!! IT NEVER WORKS!! The spending happens now, but the promised future cutting never materializes!

This bill does NOTHING to hold the big spending president accountable and in fact DOES give him a blank check! Republicans and fiscally conservative dems (yeah, right) who voted for this crap are fools and IDIOTS!!

CUTS MUST TAKE PLACE NOW, IN REAL TIME!! And I mean REAL cuts, not just decreases in the rate of growth. Entire federal departments, agencies and programs must be cut and shuttered! For example, repeal ObamaCare!! Get the feds out of education, health and welfare! Get the feds out of all unconstitutional matters and return the functions to the states and the people! Shutter HUD! Shutter freddie and fannie! Shutter the EPA!! Shutter the TSA! Shut down the depts of Commerce and Energy! Shutter Homeland Security!! Stop the political subsidies and give aways!! Eliminate ALL political spending, ie, NPR, PlannedParenthood, ACORN, the unions, the UN, and all other unconstitutional federal spending on political causes! Stop the ridiculous federal wars against coal, oil, gas and energy. Stop the wars against our industry and our people!!

And for heaven's sake declare victory and bring our troops home!! We cannot defend other nations and bring freedom to other peoples when our own nation is being destroyed from within by our constitution loathing traitors aka politicians!! Our freedoms are being destroyed by our government and they are enslaving US!!

Only one way to win this war our big government is waging against we the people:

VOTE THE ROTTEN BASTARDS OUT!!

Obviously, they're not getting the message. They want to continue business as usual and in fact want to increase big government! This death spiral must end!!

2010 was just the opening salvo by the tea party!

I can see 2012 from my house and there's going to be political blood in the streets!!

RINOS and progressives are going to be shocked to see their pink slips!!

HOLD THE LINE!!

NO COMPROMISE!!

NO RETREAT!!

NO SURRENDER!!

NO DEALS WITH THE MARXIST BASTARDS!!

Rebellion is brewing!!

DON'T TREAD ON ME!!

I urge all FReepers and Tea Party patriots to jump on their congress critters like ducks on June bugs!! Let them know we're coming for them in 2012!! No more business as usual!!

Shock 'n Awe!!

Shut down the federal behemoth before they can shut us down!!

One of the major disappointments has been Renee Ellmers (NC-2) who was supported by the Tea Party and conservatives. When John Boehner says, “Get your a$$ in line” Renee's only thought is “where do I que up?”

Jim, that form letter he sent you is so typical. It's nothing more than him covering his ears saying "Nah nah nah nah can't hear you!" It's no different a response than if you'd written to Pelosi.

Just sad.

A website where we could post the letters from our congressmen would be appropriate. We would see that the Republicans and Democrats follow talking points issued by the leadership.

Congress needs to get embarrassed.

"I want to invite you to join me on a Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, August 10th at 6:00 p.m."

Ahh, he's using the new "Telephone Town Hall" gimmick, so he doesn't have to actually face the voters.

My rep Jane Harman (D) did this a couple of times last summer.

Never once did she meet personally with her constituents.

Beware of politicans foisting this evasion tactic on the public...

Sorry Jim. My Rep is Duncan Hunter; he was one of the few who had the spine to vote NO. With so many liberal Republicans we are doomed.

How they voted

I feel your anger.

I wrote a similar letter to my rep., Kevin McCarthy, R-CA, Bakersfield who also voted for it. I told him I couldn’t and wouldn’t support anyone who voted for it.

No reply from him, unsurprisingly.

He’ll be hearing from me and hopefully thousands of others soon.

SZ

I’m in total agreement with your comments, Jim. Like you, I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore. The current crop of politicians in Washington just don’t care what we the people want. They think we’re fools and the RINOs believe they can pretend to be ‘conservative’ while campaigning then get to D.C. and vote liberal. No more. I’m stuck in a ‘blue’ state but I’ll be voting for Sarah Palin, if she runs. Meanwhile, thanks to you, my voice will be heard here on FR.

When the Tea Party targeted certain RINOs and worked to replace them, it was clear that 2010 was just a first step on a long road.

The test of the Tea Party is not its ability to win in its first round after 2010, but to stay united and focused on watching how representatives vote and then working to replace those who vote the wrong way.

2012 needs to be another down-payment towards turning the Tea Party from a one-shot wonder and into a political force to be reckoned with. 2014 will be another test of our unity and ability to hold representatives accountable.

This is a never-ending process. We will support and elect those that with then betray us. That is to be expected.......not tolerated.

While some FReepers do not like the NRA (and I do not like every one of their tactics), it is an organization that is feared and respected in Washington, far more than other organizations.

The Tea Party must be feared and respected in the same way, but that will take time.

I think the answer is to defeat the Democrats and elected more conservative Republicans first, have them take over both the House and the Senate. There is strength in numbers, and I think with some real leaders, they would help stiffen the spine of the wishy-washy Republican members.

If we focus on defeating Republicans, that will just mean handing over Congress to the Dems, the last thing we and the country needs.

We need real control of both Houses of Congress and a Republican president, THEN we can hold their feet to the fire.

I think that this really goes to show that we really need to look at who we elect before hand. We saw that they had a certain stance on a certain issue and decided that they have Tea Party ideals. We need to look past the small things and verify that who we elect can actual govern and not just give us lip service. They must all be throughly vetted.

To: Jim Robinson; what's up; Perdogg; ilgipper; txrangerette; DOGHEAD; MNJohnnie; 101voodoo

I cast my vote to shrink a federal government that has done nothing but expand for the past 40 years.
...
While the spending cuts are smaller that I would like, this legislation makes real progress toward restoring fiscal discipline to Washington
///
cutting 1 trillion, while still having a net INCREASE,
of 9 trillion, isn’t shrinking anything.
and it isn’t close to the “fiscal discipline” that every working American family has to have.

and including 10 billion more to Pell grants, and allowing Congress to “DEEM” the 2012 and 2013 passed, shows the true intent.

Good job. I emailed and telephoned my Congresscritter prior to the vote, communicating clearly that I expected a NO vote from the Representative I have supported through three terms with my financial contributions.

My Congresscritter ignored the will of the People, and got another email from me yesterday to say that I am done. If there’s a Tea Party opponent in the next primary, that person will have my money and my support.

IF I get a response, I’ll look to your reply for an example of how to respond to political razzle dazzle excuse-making. These people MUST come to understand and believe that we are not children, we are not stupid, and that we WILL fire them.

Rock on, Jim.

Nice going Jim...had a similar reaction with our local guy here in North Florida.

I used to be against having a constitutional convention because one never knows what will happen BUT given recent events...how the RINOs sell us down the river and how many state legislatures have gone conservative in the past elections, I think the time is NOW. It is the only way the People can take back this country directly. We have out of touch, or corrupt, representatives in Congress. I won’t touch the Whitehouse because it goes without saying what that is. I figure on any idems brought up for vote at a convention with each state having one vote, the country can be righted (not a pun). Worse case, each vote goes 30-20 in the conservative direction. I don’t think this can wait due to influxes of aliens and people moving from leftest strongholds like NY to destroy other states.
