We don't do water cannon, we rely on consent ( Theresa May, Home Secretary UK)

Vigilantes were forced onto the streets last night to protect their homes and businesses after police failed to materialise at many of the scenes of looting and violence which swept across London.

As officers lost control of the streets locals were forced to take the law into their own hands, arming themselves with sticks and chasing looters away from their properties.

In Dalston and Hackney, north-east London, Turkish shopkeepers and their families fought back against looting youths, before spending the night standing shoulder-to-shoulder in an attempt to deter further attacks. One man said: 'This is Turkish Kurdish area. They come to our shops and we fight them with sticks.' Despite increasing calls for the police to get tough with the rioters, Home Secretary Theresa May today sparked anger as she appeared to dismiss the notions that water cannons and even the Army could be used to ensure violent scenes are not repeated tonight.

As police were slammed for appearing to let looters run riot under their noses, Mrs May instead advocated a more softly-softly approach.

She said: 'The way we police in Britain is not through use of water cannon. The way we police in Britain is through consent of communities.'

This riot is actually in response to police brutality let’s not forget. Yeah the riot is bad, but the government thugs get the blame for instigating it.

Are you serious? Or just being ironic? If the former, then you are well and truly clueless. If that latter, your comments are in very bad taste, at least from the viewpoint of all of the victims of this "youth outrage" (which is a total crock -- these are loser thugs taking advantage of a situation to grab all they can).

Or even Turks in general.

When TSHTF, you’ll be glad to know that your Turkish homies have got your back.

As I responded to an earlier post, I live in a predominantly Turkish neighborhood here in Berlin. And yeah, when they like you, they’ll go to the wall for you. They’re really into loyalty.

If the native Britons started using guns to go after the rioters you can be sure Mz. May wouldn't hesitate to call out the Army to kill those racist white men.

Hey Cince

If the cops hadn’t been brutal, this situation wouldn’t have developed.

If the politicians hadn’t been craven, there would be jobs.

This is a reflection of bigger problems. So, NWO, ARE YA HAPPY NOW

Her statements simply defy belief:

“She also urged parents to keep tabs on their children and for the support of local communities to help police do their jobs.”

If she is not fired within the next few days there is truly no hope for the UK, not that there is much now, anyway.

I read and re-read your post #4 to make sure you weren't trying to be sarcastic. I'm pretty sure you're not. If you are, I advise you to put a /s tag in the future, especially when your sarcasm -- if that's what it is -- is really too subtle to discern.

And if you're not being sarcastic, if you actually believe the mountain of bull sh*t you posted in #4, then you are beyond help.

Either that or you're blind, which, if that's the case, I apologize. But really, if you are blind, you should ask a family member to describe the pictures in this thread to you. Even a blind person shouldn't be posting the mountain of bull sh*t you posted in #4.

This is a SHOPPING RIOT, you f*ing moron. It's a TIME TO GET PAID riot. It has as much to do with "police brutality" as the 9/11 attack had to do with ending world hunger.

If you are not blind, and if you are not being sarcastic, you are hands down the stupidest person who has ever posted on FR.

"...arming themselves with sticks..."

We will never have that problem here.
Arming ourselves with sticks, I mean....

They've got to get her out of there before she lets them burn down the whole city!

Which is why I think that has a real chance of happening. From what I've seen, they've made NO serious attempt to end it. When others, who are probably and normally law abiding citizens see how easy it is to get free stuff, then the ranks will simply grow. They will see no reason to miss out on the "free shopping days" marathon.

So far, the only response I've seen from leaders, is to call them names, and merely point out that what they are doing is criminal. Does anyone think that will work? LOL!

Yes. Thank God you are right.

Even with our current maggot muzzie marxist WH resident, we seem to be making progress on 2nd amendment rights, not going backwards. (Am I wrong?)

nope not being sarcastic and not a joke.

Cops shouldn’t gun down criminals on the street. They got what they deserve.

Police brutality has gone way too far.

And now you all want government agents to arm themselves to the teeth to fight citizens. Yeah of course it now is just looting.

But the flashpoint was the cops gunning someone down.

You are unbelievable

Recall when the same sort of trash wanted to burn and loot the grocery stores owned by Koreans in Los Angeles, California.
A shotgun can be a beautiful thing...
