“An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as ‘suspicious’ and ‘potential indicators of terrorist activities,’” an exclusive report by Oath Keepers reveals.
Essentially, the government is conflating Americans who believe in being prepared for disruptions in normal circumstances with potential domestic enemies who bear scrutiny, and are recruiting those they patronize to spy and snitch on their customers. As potential terrorists. For such suspicious activities as buying storable food. And paying in legal tender.

Oath Keepers themselves have been targets of a campaign to portray their organization and membership as “militia extremists” and haters, due in large part to the smear efforts by the Southern Poverty Law Center. It is high time that a lot of people start frequenting Army Surplus stores to stock up on supplies. When the FBI is overwhelmed with stupid leads to follow some of the idiocy may stop. Do you suppose that the next thing they will be watching are Sam’s Clubs? People buy supplies in bulk there also. Imagine if all the intel starts to indicate that ‘people are buying supplies in bulk’. This tells me that they are preparing for Armageddon. A self-fulfilling prophesy is something that the government should not invite. If they think they can turn this into another crisis that they can fix, they may find themselves sadly mistaken. The old Boy Scout motto should be regarded, ‘BE PREPARED’, should be words for all law-abiding citizens to live by.
I carry some Mountain House meals in my luggage, the one I check, not he carry-on for times when I can’t get to a store or restaurant or am just too tired to get grub.
I wonder if that little habit will set off the TSA bells?
Looking at this other way, maybe someone(s) wants to know who to raid when those who didn’t prepare need supplies? Grasshopper and Ant?

Several nationwide conservative talk show hosts are now running ads for long term food storage products. I guess that will really expand the list of potential suspicious food storers. (And they might want to look into who’s buying all those canning jars and other canning supplies.)

About 10 years ago I went to the auction of a fellow who obviously believed in self-sufficiency;but his widow was obviously terrified of the government.His long guns could only be purchased by agreeing to an un-needed background check through an FFL dealer BY THE WIDOW’S ORDERS.He had guns,tools of all kinds,two-way radios, and survival food.The food actually brought little more than the value of empty plastic buckets!!!The people around here look at what you call “prepping” as very odd behavior.Heck,most of the farmers go to the grocery store as much as any city folk.There are fewer gardens now than when I was young.
I guess you will all soon know what I look like. Look for my picture are your local post office and hurry before its closed. ;-)
