RP made a great speech..looked a little old.

The only ones I saw who had flag pins on were MB and HC.

MB changed her attire a few minutes later. Not a positive for me, but that;s just me and I didn't see coverage of Cain.

AFAIC Cain won...

I'm still behind Sarah. If she doesn't get in it's Cain for me.

I watched the speeches and really enjoyed Herman Cain. He is a very inspiring speaker. All of them had great points and were taking the fight to Obama and the Dems.

Since write-ins are possible does anyone have a feeling for what Sarah Palin will do. Just curious...

just how is a straw poll an indication of anything?

Well -- it isn't! But I guess people are so eager to vote against Obama that they will spend hours of TV time (and megabytes of bandwidth) trying desperately to attach some meaning to this. In a perverse way, I hope Ron Paul wins it. At least then everyone will agree with us that it was meaningless.

It is a fund raising event with absolutely no scientific polling credence. The people that put it on understand that... but they have to keep the hype to make the bucks.

LOL... my husband just said the same thing to me. I think she is trying to drum up excitement in the crowd, but at some point she needs to realize the shouting gets old.

Paying people to show up and making sure they have the $30 to vote, is an indication of money not organization.

“His crowd was not as large and obnoxious as I thought it would be. Herman Cain’s crowd was larger and for that matter,”

That wasn't what I saw.
But we will shortly know. The Paulites are motivated. I saw probably as many Paulite shirts as anyone.
But who knows; only the votes cast matter.

I enjoyed Cain’s speech also. So much so that I plan to watch it again later when Mrs. 40 returns.

My guess is 6% or more wouldn’t be out of the question for her and Perry.

My updated guess:

Bachmann 33%
Cain: 20%
Paul: 15%
Pawlenty: 13%
Romney: 10%
Gingrich: 2%
Santorum: 3%
Huntsman,McCotter <1%
Perry/Palin/Write-Ins 6%

+/- a few points

lol! I love wagering.

I tried to wager a very vocal Paul supporter that Paul wouldn't get the nomination. The bet was, the loser pays $100 to be contributed to Free Republic. As vocal as they are and as adamant as they can be regarding their hero, I just couldn't get a taker.

she has walked the walk. She is the most conservative candidate in Iowa. I would like to see her as POTUS. It’s a shame that the rest of the field is so much less conservative.

How cute. RP wins many of these because he pays people to vote, if he had organization he'd actually win.

Is your post suggesting that a republican president will be elected in the 2012 election? As written, your post can be interpreted in different ways.

She did during the GOP debate the other night too when she said, “Obama will be a one term President!”

It’s a good way to start building up your momentum. Little victories add up.
