August 16 Wisconsin recall election results from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

44EAGLE RIVER, Wis (Reuters) - Voters in two Wisconsin State Senate districts head to the polls on Tuesday in the last of nine recall elections triggered by the fight earlier this year over Republican-backed curbs on the union rights of public workers.

In Tuesday's two final special elections, Jim Holperin and Robert Wirch -- two Democrats who opposed the anti-union measure and even fled the state for weeks in an unsuccessful effort to prevent its passage -- are defending their seats.

Holperin seems to be in the tighter race. His rival is Kim Simac, founder of the Northwoods Patriots, a Tea Party group. Though Simac is a political novice, the district has leaned Republican in the three years since Holperin was elected.

No matter who wins, Republican Governor Scott Walker and his Republican allies will retain control of the legislature, where the battle over public workers' union powers was waged earlier this year with public protests, legislative maneuvering and court challenges.

With seven of the nine recalls over, Republicans have managed to keep control of the state senate -- 17 to 16 if they score no wins on Tuesday -- because Democrats failed to unseat three Republican state Senators in the key round of six GOP senate recalls last week.

Thanks for the precious prayers!

Gee, it’s nice to be called important. I don’t get that a lot! Hee Hee.

But I know what you mean.

As Wisconsin goes, so goes the nation....

We can really send a big message tonight if we win.

Even bigger than Obummers Grim Reaper Bus Tour!

Didn’t understand how the Republican seats had one voting date and the Democrat ones had another. Was it so Dems would have time to vote in both?

In fact there was a 3rd voting date as well, there was a recall election against a 3rd demTurd state senator Sen. Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay) was the first to face a recall election, and he easily survived the challenge last month 2/3 to 1/3 as I understand it. However that was early before the unions threw $30 million into the 6 state senate races last week, plus $12-15 million more raised by state dems & national dems plus radical special interest PACs like MoveOn.org.

The reason why the 6 Repub races were last week and 2 dimTurd this week, is because the WI election board (controlled by liberals) made sure the recall petitions were certified first against the 6 Repubs, and then took off for Memorial weekend because they said they didn't have enough time to certify the dimTurd recall petitions. The Election board certified the dimTurd recall petitions the following week and so because there was a week delay in certifying the dimTurd recall petitions, there was one week for the recall elections against the Repubs last week, and now the recall elections for the 2 dimTurds this week.

However in hindsight, this may have been an inadvertant huge plus, since the dims & unions were soundly thumped last week, and now we get a chance to focus & intensify our efforts to vote & throw out the 2 dimturds today in a separate election just for them.

If I saw that bus coming down our country road, I would assume that they were coming to take me to a re-education camp.

the Schultz defection story is a lib fantasy concocted when the 14 Dems were in Illinois. It is not based on fact. If Schultz didn’t bolt the party when Madison was filled to the gills with protestors, why would he now?

That is what I have heard as well..... that the dems & media are reporting this over & over again, to throw voters & the GOP into confusion. Don't fall for it!!! More importantly VOTE to throw the dimTurd cowardly bastards out!

So what did The Usurper say to insult the Supreme Court today?

I missed it.

Hey, maybe it’s good if he tees them off. Then they can rule against him about DeathCare.

Notwithstanding, he took another shot at the Supreme Court today.

How so? Didn't hear yet. But then what doesn't he go after? If he keeps this up he'll be the most hated President in history....perhaps he already is.

I agree! Thanks to all Freepers for your support! Wisconsin has always been red, we’ve been held hostage for a lot of years, and got the ‘blue state’ bad rap. We’re breaking the bonds that held us. It’s a battle that needed to be fought. We’re setting the standard for other states who are really red and are being led by a city or county. States can fight and win! We’re fighting and we’re winning. Every battle! We’re going to win this one.
