I wanted Palin to run so that should could prove the media wrong by performing well against the others in the primaries, but if she just thinks she can jump in at the last minute and get my vote without actually earning it, she’s got another thing coming.

Last minute?

The 2012 election is 14.5 months away.

Ronald Reagan let the clock tick down to 12 months.

CFR-Rick Perry just got in last week.

Did CFR-Rick get in at the "last minute?"

Just because the cable news networks need stories to cover does not mean that a candidate has to declare three years ahead of time.

Are you saying that there is no time left for debates, with 14.5 months to go?

PS - She is declaring on September 3rd. Is that "the last minute?"

Isn’t Hillbuzz a group of homosexuals who had previously supported the presidential run of Hillary Clinton? (And you think they’re “brilliant”?)

If she gets in then, then fine. but if she thinks she can wait till the middle of next year after all the debates are done (which is what this article implied) then no, I don't think that's ok.

I have no problem with her waiting this long, or even a little longer. I have a problem with her possibly waiting until after all the debates are over and entering right before the actual primaries.

It seems logical..... let the field narrow with the heavy weights like Perry and Romney..... then when the real debates are set it will be the better minds forefront. I will include Ron Paul in this as I keep going back to last election and listening to his points... many came true and he was more spot on than McCain and Obama ever where...

I watched her interview with Sean Hannity last Friday night. She said she would announce her intentions in September. I think you will get to see her in plenty of debates.

Despite the source, that is exactly the case and exactly what is needed. He got it right.

Kevin Dujan: At their highest levels, Democrats and Republicans are often in cahoots, because the elite on either side has a vested interest in protecting their counterparts across the aisle. Governor Palin doesn’t care about any of these people, and would certainly enjoy booting them all out of power, since she’s never benefitted from any of this sycophancy and cronyism. And never will, clearly. The establishment hates her, she hates them, and Governor Palin wouldn’t have it any other way.

A few others here are starting to realize it is the true criteria for a proper candidate.

TLI to Covert Operative:

We need a outsider like Palin who has a reputation of putting people of her own party in jail.

TA-DA! The winner!

That is exactly what this nation needs as Congress and the fed-gov is packed with corruption and un-prosecuted active criminal activity.

I do not see ANY of the other candidates getting into office and starting investigations on both "sides."

Gov. Palin would be the only one to even pose that threat.

Like I just said, this September, I have no problem with.

But the article said.. “WAIT AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TO ENTER THE RACE” as long as possible to me means - waiting until after all the debates are over and people are about to actually start voting in the primaries. That is unacceptable to me.

Ronald Reagan became an announced candidate in the middle of November 1979.

You're an idiot.

You just make bullshit scenarios up and say "she better not do that."

I bet you make everybody around you a nervous wreck with all you bullshit pondering.

I totally disagree with this statement..”The media thus had an enormous amount of time to strategize how it was going to attack, malign, berate, and brutalize her through the primaries…to hand the nomination, and presidency, to Obama instead.”

Hilary was the media darling, no media attacks or hard questions whatsoever, but that changed over night when Edward Kennedy backed Obama. Suddenly Hilary was death. It was like watching FR take over the NYtimes and WAPO (which no doubt delighted me) . I could not believe the attacks that suddenly came out. His assessment is totally wrong, Obama was a no where candidate until that moment.

Yes, but when did the primaries start and when were the debates?

The start date means nothing by itself, it’s only important how far ahead of the primaries and the debates that matter. Primaries have been moved up further and further over the years, and thus have the debates.

My only point is that I want to see her earn my and everyone elses vote, not just jump in a week before New Hampshire next year, without being tested, and without getting the opportunity to prove the media wrong and hone her debate skills, ect.

I have no problem with her waiting a while longer, but for me personally mid September is the drop dead date for her entering.

I think one of her reasons is how much a campaign cost. She isn't attached to the deep pockets several of the others are.

Besides, she loves her family and summer is such a great time to spend with them.

Another sign she is running, this is a biggy, is she did not do a second season with TLC on Alaska. An offer was made, she flatly turned it down. Anyone with any brains should have recognized this.

That was the reason I knew Trump was just mouthing...he did another season with his show.

I was responding to the article.

The article said she would “wait as long as possible” ...

well, technically “as long as possible” would be right before the primaries on February 6 2012.

I have a problem if she wait till February 1st of next year is what I am saying.

I'm sure you didn't vote for O in 2008 so that only leaves McCain. Did he "earn" your vote?

Pray that Palin runs and gets elected.

She’s going to be in a good three months before the first caucus or primary. That’s plenty of debates.

And she’ll be the only candidate we have who has experience—and success—in a one-on-one national general election debate.

Also, she’s always been a good debater. There’s a great video on the net of a debate she was in in her race for governor.

I think you’re half wrong about that. Obama won the early primaries which put him insurmountably ahead of Hillary, who came on strong at the end.

The press was enthralled with the very idea of the first black president much more than with the first female president. Hillary was thought to be both an appendix of Bill and the boss of Bill and too independent for much of the press.

“I wanted Palin to run so that should could prove the media wrong by performing well against the others in the primaries, but...”

Words of a typical concern troll.

“...if she just thinks she can jump in at the last minute and get my vote without actually earning it, she’s got another think coming.”

LOL. methinks texasfreeper09 thinks excessively highly of what he/she thinks.

I remember watching Sarah in debates 4 years ago. She’s been debating CONSTANTLY since then on Greta, FB, other media outlets. Besides, the debates are crap, anyway. They’d be asking her lame questions about Bristol’s love life, or some other stupid things rather then focus on the issues at hand. Or, like Bachmann, ask if she submits to her husband.

The debate I want to see is Sarah as our nominee against Obama. Sweet!
