Stalker for 17 years — since 8th grade — faces long prison term (Washington State)
The Seattle Times ^ | August 18, 2011 | Jennifer Sullivan

Tracy Lundeen says it started with the phone calls. Then she was followed around her Renton middle school. Before long it evolved into demands for a date, and the incessant letters.

By the time Lundeen was in high school, she had obtained a no-contact order in an effort to end Shawn Moul's unwavering harassment. But it didn't deter Moul — in fact, it seemed to embolden him.

In 2001, Moul was convicted of stalking Lundeen and repeatedly violating the order.

By then he had expanded his targets to include anyone he believed was trying to keep him from Lundeen.

He threatened the life of the judge who oversaw the 2001 case and wrote to the deputy prosecutor who put him behind bars, saying he would cut out the prosecutor's heart unless he turned over Lundeen's address and phone number, according to court filings.

He spent nearly eight years in prison.

Two years after his release, Moul resumed his efforts to contact Lundeen.

On Friday, Moul, now 31, was scheduled to again stand before a King County judge to face sentencing for stalking Lundeen. However, his sentencing was postponed until Sept. 2.

Someone—preferably Tracy—should have shot him a long time ago.

From the article:

He threatened the life of the judge who oversaw the 2001 case and wrote to the deputy prosecutor who put him behind bars, saying he would cut out the prosecutor's heart unless he turned over Lundeen's address and phone number, according to court filings

(edit)

This time, prosecutors plan to take the extraordinary step of asking the judge to sentence Moul to 20 years in prison — well beyond the top of the range, which is 29 months.

Even if the judge agrees, Lundeen has no illusions.

"The letters will never stop. It's never going to stop," said Lundeen. "[But] as long as he's locked up, I'm more content."

Tracy is now 31 years old.

Sister, join the military. He won’t be able to follow you there due to the convictions and time he has served. He’s a crazy SOB - we can see it on his face!

If this guy has been enamored with Tracy at any time, it demonstrates he is mentally deranged and should be locked away.

Gag!

I’m thinking Tracy does not put a whole lot of effort into making herself look attractive, for fear of this nut thinking she’s doing it for his sake.

Thank you very much for pinging your list  :-)

 Thank You

Sadly, Washington State has produced  FAR more than its fair share of serial killers, serial rapists, garden variety psychopaths and Democrats.

I don't know if it's the rain or the geoducks or what.

How odd that he looks like a maniacal stereotype and she looks like a stereotypical victim.

Why has this thing been playing out for 17 years?

To any of our Law Enforcement Friends who might be stopping by, I've got a question.

When a psycho like this is placed in prison, does he still have full access to the US Mail, uncensored and unscreened?  I didn't think so, but the article suggests that he does:

This time, prosecutors plan to take the extraordinary step of asking the judge to sentence Moul to 20 years in prison — well beyond the top of the range, which is 29 months.

Even if the judge agrees, Lundeen has no illusions.

"The letters will never stop. It's never going to stop," said Lundeen. "[But] as long as he's locked up, I'm more content."

It "sounds" as though she's continued to get letters from him even while he was in prison.  Am I reading this wrong?

This should’ve ended long ago. Even 17 months is too long to put up with it.

How odd that he looks like a maniacal stereotype and she looks like a stereotypical victim.

That's one of the reasons why I posted the article ;-)

Why has this thing been playing out for 17 years?

Because too many women like Miss Lundeen (and men) put their faith in a liberal "justice" system that coddles criminals, and they continually vote for liberal politicians, judges & prosecutors who fail to adequately protect the public.  They vote for liberal legislators that water down the laws and watch liberal media that tells them that criminals just need to be "understood".

They put their faith in things like no-contact orders which dedicated psychos like this one only laugh at and they honestly think that only the police, and only a few of them, should ever carry a gun.

In short, the answer to your question is "liberalism".

Miss Lundeen is only one of billions of women who have had their lives destroyed by liberalism and the Left, yet they refuse to change their belief system or their voting habits.

And so the cycle continues.

Agreed.

I haven't heard a peep about this out of any of the "women's" organizations, which illustrates how useful they are in their stated goal of helping women, and reaffirms the fact that they are only interested in promoting a Leftist political agenda.  They will let women like Miss Lundeen have their lives destroyed before they will encourage women to vote for conservatives or that they learn to carry a gun.

A complete waste, not only of Miss Lundeen's life but of her family's lives, which have been needlessly turned upside down for years over this.

She shoulda used reverse psychology and chased after him. And I bet he woulda run away. I saw that on an episode of the Dick Van Dyke show.
