I parked my car that has a NOBAMA bumper sticker at a MARTA station in Sandy Springs near Atlanta Georgia for two days. After my return, the whole car was scratched with keys on all sides. It will now cost me $2,500 to repair the car. Worse, there is no way to catch the criminals and punish them. And, now, I am really scared and worried to express my opinion through bumper stickers, fearing another costly damage.
Did anyone experience similar problems? What recourse do you suggest?
Oh yes, I still see a few ancient, faded, weathered Mondale/Ferraro bumper stickers.
Make an “OBAMA 2012” bumper sticker in the WORST lettering possible (even in crayon)....like, with the “B” backwards like some illiterate wrote it. LOL! In other words....Obama voters are morons.

I had nails pounded into my tires 5 days in a row in the secure garage of The Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle because of my Bush stickers.

My husbands car got heavily keyed because of an oval “O s&^%” sticker - they even tried to rip the sticker off...
I have a magnet Gadsdan snake that I put on the top of the trunk hood - many cars don’t see it but the truckers do and beep a lot.....(that magnet comes off when I’m in bad neighborhoods - although most of them don’t know what it means)
If you want to express yourself with bumper stickers - tape them to the inside of your car windows (easy to take off while in unfriendly territory)
That would be good to get their mugs on you-tube. I remember when I lived in Michigan, every election year someone would vandalize our home because of we put a signs up with conservative candidates. I’m getting sick of putting up with their crap too.
I had a really long, informative rant written, and deleted it before posting.
Perhaps this ugly experience will suffice to alert you that VERY BAD THINGS, even worse than mere property damage, WILL happen in the near future to you and your family, neighbors, friends and co-workers.
I've often wondered how it was even possible for the likes of Stalin, Mao and Hitler to persuade some of the people, those in low level government positions, to gleefully murder hundreds of millions of their own fellow citizens.
I don't wonder anymore.

When I had anti-John Kerry/ Bush stickers on my car, some woman tried to run me off the road, not once, but three times on the freeway.
Around Atlanta, its probably not Pagans you need to worry about. Holders people.
I express my preferences through my custom license plate. It says “FREEPER”. When fellow Freepers see it, they go nuts honking and waving, and when occasonal strangers ask me what it means, I hand them a business card (that I had printed up) that tells about Free Republic and gives the website.
On the eve of the 2008 elections,my house was shot at. First with paint balls then I heard a real gun go off. Neighbors came by the next mornung and asked me if me, my kids and grandkids were okay. All because I was pro palin and my lawn signs showed it. This was of course after I had replaced a bunch of stolen lawn signs.
Amen, brother.
That takes too much effort and you might be spotted. However, bring a bunch of Nobama stickers, and plaster the car over the original Obama stickers. Then watch the fun from a distance as libs do the bashing for you.
