The problem is that the amount in milk is insufficient to offset the amount lost by sun avoidance, though it is probably enough to prevent rickets in children if they drink milk regularly. You probably won’t drink enough milk to get vitamin D levels up to the levels that are found to be useful in combating many diseases though. That will take time in the sun, suntanning under the right type of sun lamp, or supplementation.
Fortunately, the government recently doubled the Tolerable Upper Limit to 4,000 IU per day (I routinely take 5,000) so now researchers are able to ethically conduct experiments that are capable of showing the results of getting vitamin D3 levels up into the 50-80 Ng/ml range.

Uh oh if so. Most LCD monitors have florescent backlights, especially the older models. Looking at the monitor is like staring at a bright bulb... not good to have that much florescent light right in your face. Newer monitors have LED backlights and are becoming much more common, which is good.

If your children do not get chickenpox by the time they are an adult, they will probably need to get the vaccine.

There are really two types, severe detected soon after birth and another one that isn’t detected until the kid joins school
The one that is shooting through the roof is the less severe version.
This version is being detected earlier and earlier, but people are putting more and more florescence lights in their homes.
I remember that when they took those old lights out of our class room when I was little back in the 1970s and Carter made another big push when he was President.
The old lights can cause blindness if they get damaged, so there was slowly developed a national program to change these all out. It took years for this to happen though.
