A man is dead after decapitating himself following a domestic dispute in Yorktown outside of Willow Lakes housing development.
Yorktown sheriff deputies initially responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Nathan Place and learned the man had left before they arrived. A few minutes later, a utility trailer was reported on fire nearby at the intersection of Holmes Blvd and Wolftrap Rd.
When deputies and firefighters arrived, they found the man inside the white Ford Explorer that had been towing the trailer.
The man had apparently set the trailer on fire and refused to leave the SUV.
A Fire Dept. officer noticed a cable attached to a nearby tree and wrapped around the neck of the driver.
When deputies tried to get the man to leave the Explorer, he rapidly accelerated the SUV and was pulled from the vehicle and decapitated. The Explorer came to rest approximately 150 yards further down Holmes Blvd.
Deputies are withholding the mans name pending notification of his family, but say he was 46-years-old and most recently had been living in Chicago. He had just moved to Yorktown just a few days before the incident.

From the article it sounds as though he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
Chin up!
Isn’t the first time a man lost his head over a woman.
From Chicago, eh? They must have creative ways to die there.
Sounds like he had a head for engineering.
I hope he didn't ruin the car. His wife will need it.
I guess we’re all supposed to know where yorktown and willow lakes are.
YOU PEOPLE! You have such twisted humor...geez
I like it...
Uh, they were chasing him around after being called out on a domestic case, I think the family knows.
Did it right the first time.
Sounds like it didn't work out too well. He should have stayed in Chicago.
Yorktown, Virginia.
Permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Very foolish.
Poor man. Lord have mercy on his soul. :(

That’s a new version of my favorite Rudyard Kipling quote.lol
More gov’t, and a laugh.
My bad. I missed the Chicago connection.
Agreed. Madness in the hearts of men while they live, the Bible says.

Vanessa Kensington: Hmm.
Austin Powers: He'll never be the head of a major corporation.
Vanessa Kensington: Okay, that'll do.
Austin Powers: Okay.
Sad, but at least he will be able to vote for Obama in 2012.
