what a story....
I just read it. Thank you for posting.
JUST WOW.
what a story....
In stark contrast to the media manure floating around about
a chicken President who wouldn’t come home and do his job.
Great article, brings back some chilling memories. Cannot believe it happened 10 years ago ;(
(What Would Obama Do?)
Thank you
Thanks for posting. On Sept. 11 my wife and I were returning from the wilderness, literally. After almost two weeks in Yellowstone, we set off for home the previous day and spent the night at Wall Drug.
That morning we started early, driving for an hour before stopping for breakfast. When we left the restaurant I turned the radio on and heard the first reports of the first plane to hit.
What was noticeable in its absence was, on a beautiful clear day, not a single jet was visible in the sky over South Dakota.
Until we were heading south past Omaha. Air Force One was just taking off from Offutt AFB. It’s a sight I’ll never forget.
“Air Force One was just taking off from Offutt AFB. Its a sight Ill never forget.”
That’s timing.
Interesting to read some of this again (for the fourth or fifth time). This hypothesizing struck me particularly as typical of the leftist mind that hasn't a clue. I wonder what sort of "Dr." this Gross is and whether he has ever had anything to do with airplanes other than plopping his ass into a seat and closing his eyes. "Angle of the sun"! That's really rich. NTSB and the guy has no idea what kind of planes fly where in the New York TCA (Terminal Control Area).

Lines like this make the whole article dubious.

W.W.O.D?
The first thing would be piss in his pants.
I heard George Bush say the same thing on the National Geographic piece . You should watch the interview if you get a chance. Excellent!
i loved the line where the pilot says, “I wasn’t prepared for a Texan who wanted to go back and kick a** !” ha.
“Lines like this make the whole article dubious.”
So, you think Air Force One’s pilot is a liar?
Though you didn't say so anyplace the article you posted was by Tom Vanden Brook of USA Today, not an Air Force One pilot and almost certainly not any kind of pilot.
ML/NJ
The article is riddled with quotes from the pilot.
The “dubious” line is contained in one of those quotes:
“I didn’t know the capabilities of the terrorists, so just err to the worst case,” Tillman says. “It wouldn’t be bad to have fighter support in the event that airliners were tracking us. Maybe that airliner was coming to crash into us over Sarasota, saw us take off and was coming after us. In reality, it was just like many of the threats that day. It was not an actual threat. It was an airliner whose transponder had failed.”
“It was an airliner whose transponder had failed.”
Lines like this make the whole article dubious.
ML/NJ
Why?
Transponders fail. I’ve replaced them.
