It tells the simple story of a boy with bright, “cotton-candy” hair who gets bullied, makes a friend, and discovers a true passion. No, the “Boy with Pink Hair” isn’t a euphemism for “Boy with Homosexual Tendencies,” as some may fear; the book will appeal to creative kids who may have been picked on for their offbeat interests.

Oh, I was turned away enough from this guy when I saw my introductory picture of him, dressing in women’s clothing. That was offensive enough.
