GW Bush at Flight 93 Memorial: "Evil Is Real, So Is Courage"
The best speech W has ever given in MHO.
Watch here.
I so miss GWB. I miss his humility. I miss his Patriotism. I miss someone who truly believed in God and this country. Someone who really cared about our troops.
I miss someone real.
Odummer is not worth the fingernail of GWB little pinky finger.
GWB had many things that I wish he would have done differently. His love for this country, doing the steps necessary to protect this country can never, ever be forgotten.
Thanks for a real speech, not canned crap.
I would not go that far.Clinton and Bush all work together. The right and left are not enemies they talk about golf games and are buds.In all of the primary infighting wars here Bush is bashed badly. He was not a bad President and history will reflect well on him.He reached across the aisle. So did Reagan and Clinton did to save his butt.

You personalize politics, reducing even human friendship to the realm of like-minded partisanship. Are you capable of being friendly with those who hold political beliefs different than your own?
Good assessment, Cali.
In spite of the mistakes he made, and I had many disagreements with some of his domestic policies, I did and do believe that Dubya is a good, decent American man, and I am glad that he was the President when 9-11 happened and NOT Algore.
We are seeing right now how a liberal Democrat reacts to attacks on America...he blames Americans; his DHS Czar demonizes Americans; his Justice Dept Czar refuses to prosecute crimes against Americans.
My regret is that Osama Bin Laden wasn’t waxed on Bush’s watch; but at the very least we STILL got the bastard. Our SEALs took this piece of fecal matter out, and this current jackwagon Marxist asshole takes the credit for it at every opportunity - something that HE would NEVER have had the balls to do personally.
But as far as Dubya goes...well, let’s say I REALLY miss having a President. He was no Reagan, but he IS an American, and he was where he needed to be when we needed it.
History will be good to him, as long as we don’t let the socialist liberals re-write it.
I am glad he gave a good speech. But GWB and Obama: I have zero desire to hear either say a word.
Sorry, but without GWB there could have been no Obama. Obama was the “people’s antidote” to GWB, as wrong as they usually are.
Noticed there is not a White person in the picture!! Seems typical of these obnoxious Racists who clearly hate everything about America! Is that a Diamond in Obama HUSSEIN’s Left ear? Certainly looks like it! Lets remember Obama’s Religious mentor for Two decades, ranting a few days after 9-11 that it was because “AMERICA’S CHICKENS WERECOMIN HOME TO ROOST!” You can bet HUSSEIN and MOOCHIELLE were cheering Rev. Wright on as he uttered thos atrociuos Rants! May GOD SAVE AMERICA from these treasonous Frauds!
And when you say George W. Bush was no Reagan, that’s quite true. But by definition, there are very few of those.
Washington. Lincoln FDR — yes, FDR, because of how firmly he handled WWII and how he stood by England before 12-7-41. And Reagan.
The 1st saved us from British dictators.
The 2nd saved the union.
The 3rd saved us from fascist dictators.
The 4th saved us from European Communism, restored our spirit, and freed Eastern Europe.
Four giants among presidents. But by definition, very few and far between.
GWB is not great like these others. But like the others, he was the right man, in the right place, at the right time. Once again, “God sent us our Elizabeth.”
Not sure I would include Roosevelt. He had no choice and whoever was President would have had to save Europe too. Roosevelt did bring us socialism.
sorry i’m late.
God Bless America and God bless G W Bush
thanks for the thread
Yes it was a great speech. It wasn’t about him... it was about something greater. Best speech on the dais. Clinton and Biden were all about themselves.
No... more PRESS and accolades from the adoring media for him! He could have already gone out and help to secure the funding for this memorial. He just had to look like the big man on the block. Real men do good and don’t have to shine a light on it for their own glory.
God bless GW Bush, a man of class and stature.
About the current occupant of the office, I have
nothing to say.

That’s a fair point about having a choice. FDR had no choice after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The reason I’ve put FDR — reluctantly — on my list was how he kept England afloat before we were engulfed by the sneak attack.
But FDR did give us socialism. And he did screw up the WW II end game with the Yalta conference whereby FDR gave away Eastern Europe.

“...But FDR did give us socialism. And he did screw up the WW II end game with the Yalta conference whereby FDR gave away Eastern Europe...”
“Gave away Eastern Europe”...as if it was his to give...and thereby consigning hundreds of thousands of people to communist hell for 50 years...
FDR’s first vice president Henry Wallace, was a flaming communist; his closest advisor, Alger Hiss, was another one, and a traitor to boot.
I understand your point though, Cali. But just mentioning FDR in a list anywhere near the likes of George Washington and Reagan...well, it just rankles a bit...
For the actual start of communist integration into American policy though, you have to go back to Woodrow Wilson. That’s the bozo that started us on the path... another “Progressive” Democrat...
Seems the Dems have been subverting us for a long, long time...and we just let them go on doing it.
Oh Jeez, Woodrow Wilson. What an absolute loser. Wilson may as well have personally handed Hitler the keys to the Panzer with his “solution” to WWI.
It’s amazing how long those horrid ideas like the United Nations and globalism have been around.
