On the ground report from Greece by Manos September 11, 2011

After our socio-fascist government implemented all of Germany’s directives, the Greek people have come to an absolute desperation and poverty.

What is also outrageous is the fact that are own government has passed the message to the global banksters and other nations that Greek people are lazy and incapable.

Today, after two years of screwing and pressing us, most households and businesses have stopped paying. Stopped paying taxes, utility bills, toll fees, or anything else related to the government.

Two hours ago, this same government announced a new property tax (added to the 2 previous ones). This one will be calculated on every and each household, business, cottage, or even a barn for animals. It will be 4 euros per square meter calculated immediately, to be paid by this December the latest.

Once again let me tell you that we are not a lazy nation or useless people.

This has to do with some 4% of the working force, and all of them public servants who were hired by each government in order to gain votes for its next election campaign. So what’s actually happening is the same person who hired those people, now tries to persuade the rest of the nation that they are incapable.

Manos sounds about as credible to me as Ulsterman

My take was it was for building size, not lot size. Average (2000 sq ft) home would be around $1000.

People moving into our area do the same thing....in regards to whacky ideas. Property in rural areas have pretty much held their own. But....city people seem to try and change things to what they had in the big cities. I’m expecting to see, someday, street lights on dirt roads. One thing about our area though is that when something is built that people don’t want, it seems to get torn down. I wonder why?

In Texas, my property tax has gone up 10% (more with their fuzzy math and rounding up) every year but one. We may have to move.

At least it's inexpensive to tag vehicles in Texas. I know, because it seems about 25% of Kansas residents tag their vehicles in Texas.

After our socio-fascist government implemented all of Germany’s directives we burned through the latest multi-billion euro aid package from the German taxpayer in no time flat and still all we do is riot instead of getting our sh!t together and try to do some actual work to get out of our home made mess, the Greek people have come to an absolute desperation and poverty.

There, fixed it for you.

This is part of the reason we left Texas in 04. When they say, “Texas has no state income tax”, watch out for a property tax increase.

Count yourself lucky. The wackos fall all over themselves to change our way of life out in my neck of the rural woods.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2011/jun/28/greeces-fire-sale-shunned

Debt-laden Greece finds no buyers in ‘fire sale’ of national assets

Greece puts €50bn of national assets on sale in hotel ballroom but private equity firms are not interested

snip
.....representatives of the country’s government were at Claridge’s hotel trying to drum up international investors’ interest in a “fire sale” of its national assets.

Up for sale are 39 airports, 850 ports, railways, motorways, sewage works, a couple of energy companies, banks, defence groups, thousands of acres of land for development, casinos and Greece’s national lottery. George Christodoulakis, Greece’s special secretary for asset restructuring and privatisations, said the sell-off would raise €50bn (£44bn) to help pay back the country’s €110bn bailout debt.

From stuff I’ve read today China may buy. Crazy that a country’s government can sell the very land to others. Evil insanity.

UN military tax collectors, operating within a sovereign country.

Well, even Geitner was involved with the latest gathering about the Euro and what's happening with Greece, Spain and Italy. First a US representative was present..(that we know of).

IMO all of this is about orchestrating and moving funds/revenues,... where they are to be located, and the political manuvering of each countries leadership on what position they will hold and power thereof in a one world governance.

What they are doing is trying to keep it all together while they make their moves without crashing the entire system completely....and controlling as much as possible the citizens from protesting beyond what they control. As things heat up they toss a bone to chew on until the next crisis....then toss another. The question is how long will citizens be willing to gnaw bones.

How come the law panders to millions of illegal aliens, but legitimate U.S. Citizens are on the meat hook and must obey all laws or else

Couple of reasons...first most illegals haven't enoughh money to fill government coffers....it never trickles up...illegals don't create jobs either. But citizens do and do make money which keeps the gov. revenue flowing.

From stuff I’ve read today China may buy.

Those container ports and airports might make handy forward military bases for China...some day.

No country should sell its assets to another country. It’s beyond horrible.
