All its going to take is one person to be read his Miranda warning and be looking at some time then the whole house of cards is coming down.

The difference is that if Dean and Monica had sat quietly instead, no demonstrable harm done and nobody to prosecute for anything (save a tangential misdemeanor B&E). Here, we have a solid chain of guilt wherein each link has the option of either turning evidence or getting extradited for felony murder - quite the motivator to rat the next one out.

It just keeps getting harder and harder for this administration to get out in front of this.

Hope this doesn't drag me down.

Change the damn subject...quick!

Maybe and maybe not.

However, indicting US Attorney for Az and Janet Napolitanos chief of staff for 6 years as accessory to murder of a Federal Officer, Obstruction of Justice, falsifying documents for starters would no doubt generate some very interesting states evidence.

Mr Puke needs have some pressure applied and the chance to spend the rest of his life in Florence Prison would be a nice motivational tool.

I posted this same idea on another thread.

There is an angle to this which I had not thought of before.

I think this whole setup was a collaboration between the media and Obama’s regime. Remember for the last few years how much the media has been drumming up support for blaming American gun owners for Mexican violence?

Now I doubt they all sat around in a smoke filled room and sketched out how they would jointly run the operation. I suspect it was a word here or there and an acknowledgement or so to the point that both knew what was going on.

Of course I could be wrong and they really did meet at say a backroom during a media day at the white house.

That is why the media are giving the story very little coverage and what they do is to claim it was a good idea not carried out properly, when in fact it was carried out exactly like they wanted except they didn’t expect anyone to call them on it. And so far no one really has.

But they didn’t “lose track”. The FBI informants were the ones with the firearms. They didn’t have to track them. So the “stated goal” of the op is horsesh!t. The actual goal was to provide US guns in Mexico to give some cover to the lie they were hoping to pedal about needing more anti gun laws.

My SOP is to take the official story, whatever official story, and run with it to the logical conclusion. In this case, if they admit it was an international sting to identify where the guns ended up then they had to accept random people in another country would die so the location of the guns could be identified - which means that the ATF head (Melson) had to get Attorney General approval (Holder) who had to get POTUS approval (Obama). If the official line is enough to get him incarcerated, I’m content with it though surprised he couldn’t come up with a better story.

They should airport torture them. Find the ugliest people in the country to feel them up and down and take naked pictures of them all day long until they talk.

If it was an international operation, it is a safe bet that the State Department was involved, too (operation Castaway, for instance), and that means Hillary had to know.

Mueller is hip deep in this.

Bobby two-sticks? [Robert Mueller II] Oh yes.

But it goes MUCH higher than that....

Here's your list, right from the horse's mouth:

March 23, 2010:SECRETARY [OF STATE HILLARY] CLINTON: Well, good afternoon. And let me begin by thanking the Foreign Secretary and the Government of Mexico for hosting these very important discussions today. We have had the opportunity to delve into many areas of common concern that lie at the heart of the Merida Initiative and our shared responsibility to combat and defeat organized transnational crime. We’re looking forward to continuing this conversation in the weeks and months ahead. We will be seeing President Calderon later today because the United States strongly supports his courageous campaign against violent criminal organizations on behalf of the Mexican people. And we honor the service and sacrifice of Mexico’s men and women in uniform in the military and in the police forces. ... .

It’s an honor to be joined here in Mexico by a very significant delegation from the Obama Administration. Defense Secretary Gates, Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Mullen, Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair, Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan, Acting Deputy Attorney General Grindler, Acting Administrator of the DEA Michele Leonhart, Director of the Office of Foreign Assets in the Treasury Department Adam Szubin, Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Gil Kerlikowske, Ambassador Pascual, and a wide range of senior officials, all of whom are committed to this unique partnership that we are exhibiting today.

Our broad engagement allows us to come at these problems from many different angles, to devise cross-cutting solutions, to ensure that our two governments are working hand-in-hand, not just at the ministerial level but all the way down our bureaucracies.

We are expanding the Merida Initiative beyond what it was traditionally considered to be, because it is not just about security. Yes, that is paramount, but it is also about institution building. It is about reaching out to and including communities and civil society, and working together to spur social and economic development.
