I suspect the vote had more to do with reacting to the Weiner disgrace than anything else.

Since you're from the "Show Me" state...and since this is EXACTLY what Weiner did....I understand your erroneous suspicion.

Wasserman-Loudmouth is a female Weiner. I hated to see/hear him on TV because of the horrible Dem line he spouted, talking over any opposition like a good Dem. Wasserman-Snoots is like that--TOTALLY OBNOXIOUS.

I CANNOT figure the Jews. I guess it has to do with their feeling of always having been the underdog and the Dem line of "compassion for the little people". Why aren't they smart enough to see through that ? They do not even seem to understand the concept of liberty and responsibility. Yet, Israel was built on faith, hard work, responsibility, sacrifice, and a longing for a place of their own.

You need to have your head examined.

And watch them take to the streets if he loses.

If that must happen, let it be before we are disarmed.

I think the time is ripe for a Republican nominee to speak directly to blacks and make the case that they were better off before Democrat policies destroyed the central black families and put half their kids into the unemployed ranks.

They have to live in the areas terrorized by black gangs and now by black flash mobs (not that all flash mobs are black) and the right message, coupled with honest intentions, could be received favorably, especially now that they have seen that even a black Democrat could not reverse their fortunes, and indeed apparently even accelerated the descent toward utter hopelessness.

America is a better country than this. We can pass policies that reverse both the destruction of the black family and the unemployment of black youth. Democrats can’t, but we can. Policies exist that will reverse both trends, but to implement them a Republican candidate has to first hold them, then explain them to the people to whom they matter most, then get elected promising to implement them, and finally, pass them into law.

Look for the "half-white" talk to pick up as they just apathetically walk away from the hopechangy dream and wait for a "real brother" they can get behind.

VP Herman Cain, or Col. West in 2020?

America has been the shining beacon on the hill. Though the illumination has become somewhat dimmed of recent years, we can and will shine forth again, if anything, even more brightly than before.

But first, let us remember we are Americans.

May God bless and keep Israel and America.

Yeah, but the other ones usually sing, dance and disrupt traffic!

And when Obama loses, every lib commentator will be moaning over the rise of “racism” as the reason for the loss.

One of the things the MSM always does is pick a reason for Dem losses that fits their template. For instance, the Dems lost last night because of Israel. I don’t think so. Welprin was strongly pro Israel. But he DID vote for gay marraige, which religious Jews don’t like.

Yeah, that 'my Jews'....'those Jews'.... is that saying Orthodox are 'those' people?

'My Jews would never vote like that.'

You're probably right. However, it is my hope (not expectation) that the Jewish voters also took into consideration that, regardless of Welprin's supposed support of Israel, he would probably vote in lockstep with the President. And it is pretty obvious that Zero is anti-Israel and pro-Arab. And, IMO, he is a blatant anti Semite.

How can he "support Israel" and at the same time support an anti Israel President? Nothing but more lying and Orwellian DoubleSpeak from him and the Democrat party.

I am not religious, so I could be seeing things from the wrong perspective.

But it has always been my impression that “Christians” are the most unwavering supporters of the Jewish state of Israel.

“Christians” being a somewhat broad term. But in the political context, generally referring to the religiously conservative groups like evangelicals and born again-ers. And those are the folks I am referring to in this comment.

It's a pretty safe bet that this upset election (NY-9) is going to affect the Democrats strategy in 2012. They can see that Obama's ruinous economic policies and his blatant, utterly transparent contempt for Israel has hurt the party. The MSM will attempt to brush it off as just a 'fluke' and blame Anthony Weiner and his embarrassing sex scandal for the loss but few thinking Americans will buy that. Not in a district that has voted Democrats into congress for almost 80 consecutive years. Although I'm sure that some Jews may still cling to the fallacy that liberal politicians (Democrats) are 'better for the Jews', Obama, by virtue of being the most liberal president in memory, is proving that long-held belief to be false. An unexpected consequence of his failed presidency.

As for black voters, I'm quite confident they'll vote 'race' (for Obama) as they did in 2008 but in notably smaller numbers (low turnout) because they have to realize that Barry has done almost nothing for his 'brothers' except put them deeper into poverty. That won't help the Republican candidate unless, as I expect, many normally apathetic non-black voters decide they've had enough of socialism and vote Republican. I expect Obama to go down in flames, electorally, in the 2012 election. Too much economic damage has been done to far too many Americans to justify keeping him in office. The black vote won't save him, for sure and Latinos won't save him, either. Only a small percentage of voters are hard-core liberals (20%?) and with a big voter turnout, as is justifiably expected, Obama will be finished. Not a moment too soon, in my opinion. I just hope that the Republicans will run a conservative who won't just tread water with Democrat policies and nibble away at programs and policies that need to be blasted into smithereens.
