GOP never even tried to run a serious campaign before turner. Same is true for other jewish districts in NY.

“And I know there are folks who are registered as Democrats just because they might need a favor from the government or party since they control so many cities.”

I overheard 2 ladies talking about the election. The first one said she met Anthony Weiner. The 2nd said My condolences. He’s a disgusting pervert! The 1st simply responded “He’s a fighter for the district.”

Now this lady identified herself as a catholic and she was a very nice lady but was very loyal to the Democrats.

The koskids who supported Weiner for ideological reasons had nothing to do with the district and were also disgusted with Weiner and his lies. Since he was tarnished, he no longer had any persuasion power and thus totally useless. But the loyalists just shrug and appreciate the constituent services.

Even some democrats after electing a proud Marxist must be asking themselves..

“What was I thinking”.. at some point.. even privately..
Even a few democrats know Stalin was a political disease..

Just maybe there are many more “David Horowitz’s” in the conversion process.. LET’s HOPE!..

We’re 4-to-1 Dem/Rep in our county and we still get GOP officials in here and there. In ‘10 most of our statewide candidates were dead even or had a slight loss.

On the flip side, there is also a good chance that a lot of the result this Tuesday was simply disgust at Weiner. Compare it to what happened in NY-26 and just call it a bookend to that result.

The House should be made up of experienced honest people from different occupations that are willing to serve for a few years and then let others share their experience and wisdom.

We do not need full time career legislators and lawyers running our country. We need people to treat our money like a trustee and spend a reasonable and prudent amount.

Check out Ron Johnson, Senator from Wisconsin. A businessman/accountant that built a plastic manufacturing company. He is the type that we need.

Bobby Turner was (I don’t know if he still is) the RB coach for the Broncos.

In all of the 435 districts, Pubs should put up a candidate whether they think they are in safe Dem districts. No one will know how Americans will think and feel after another year of this horrid Obama transgression. Even in the soviet state of Ca., where I reside, the Field Poll has 49% of people now saying, they are really angry at Bama. And this is a state where MOONBEAM is not sure if he can control his own liberal whack jobs in the state leg.

Add up "Rast and Furious" with the Solyndra scandal. The result is Obama's a dead green turkey, IMHO.

Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.

>> How many Bob Turners are out there?

That depends on the number of available Scott Browns...

It’s good the seat changed hands, and no doubt the effect on policy will be worthwhile, but something short of seismic. Let’s not forget it was the misrepresentation of two upstate NY Republicans that facilitated the change in the regulation of marriage in NY; two backstabbing, Republican idiots that made objection to homosexual behavior a crime!

I know little about Turner, but what I know about NE Republicans isn’t much to speak of.

There are plenty of Republicans who run hard races and many put in the effort.
Do you mean Republicans who can win, those willing to make the commitment to run in multiple elections over many years, while building a community base? Because this is what is far too lacking here in NYC. We can get candidates to run once. But they they lose and they loose interest, their spouses get annoyed, or the County Committee sabotages them, having branded them a loser.

Excellent post and you are correct about campaign advertising and technical gimmicks like robo-calling. It is old time face to face contact and door to door canvassing that win elections. You must connect with the voter individually and that can only be done in person.

That’s why candidates with strong on the ground support will do well in 2012 - the Democrat’s Waterloo.
