How many Bob Turners are out there?

Bob Turner overcame a 3:1 disadvantage in voter registration in the NY 9th Congressional District.

On Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: NY-9 is “a very difficult district for Democrats”

Is Wasserman-Schmuck conceding every even to D+5 district in the country as “difficult”? Does she mean that every district won by less than 21% is difficult? Please, Lord make it so. We’ll have 350 Republicans in the House in 2013.

I think she recognizes that there are many "nominal" democrats, i.e. they are registered democrats, but they vote otherwise in general elections.

On Bob Turner deserves to be elected by 9th District to replace disgraced Anthony Weiner in Congress

I voted in New York for about 25 years. I really don’t remember too much voter fraud. It might have existed but remember, everyone voted for the Democrats so there was no need, lol! I always voted for the most conservative Democrat in the primary (Ed Koch, Ed Koch, Ed Koch) and then went for the Republican in the general.

When I was an intern, I knew a resident who used the opposite strategy, i.e. voted for the most radical leftist in the primary so that the leftist was so radical that they would be unacceptable in the general election. And I know there are folks who are registered as Democrats just because they might need a favor from the government or party since they control so many cities.

The point of this little polemic is that there maybe more Bob Turners out there than might be appreciated. Just because some Congressional District is D+10, it doesn't mean it's not worth consideration. There are too many elections where Democrats run unopposed. And don't forget, Turner was outspent by Weprin. Mindless advertising is highly overrated in my humble opinion.

GOP never even tried to run a serious campaign before turner. Same is true for other jewish districts in NY.

“And I know there are folks who are registered as Democrats just because they might need a favor from the government or party since they control so many cities.”

I overheard 2 ladies talking about the election. The first one said she met Anthony Weiner. The 2nd said My condolences. He’s a disgusting pervert! The 1st simply responded “He’s a fighter for the district.”

Now this lady identified herself as a catholic and she was a very nice lady but was very loyal to the Democrats.

The koskids who supported Weiner for ideological reasons had nothing to do with the district and were also disgusted with Weiner and his lies. Since he was tarnished, he no longer had any persuasion power and thus totally useless. But the loyalists just shrug and appreciate the constituent services.

Even some democrats after electing a proud Marxist must be asking themselves..

“What was I thinking”.. at some point.. even privately..
Even a few democrats know Stalin was a political disease..

Just maybe there are many more “David Horowitz’s” in the conversion process.. LET’s HOPE!..

“He’s a fighter for the district.”

That right there is the problem. The public treasury as trough and you better send a super-aggressive SOB to grab as much of it as he can to dole out to folks back home--or am I misreading this sentiment.

At the risk of sounding like a deluded dreamer wouldn't it be great if despicable model of elective representation were permanently retired?

We’re 4-to-1 Dem/Rep in our county and we still get GOP officials in here and there. In ‘10 most of our statewide candidates were dead even or had a slight loss.

On the flip side, there is also a good chance that a lot of the result this Tuesday was simply disgust at Weiner. Compare it to what happened in NY-26 and just call it a bookend to that result.

Turner is Tea Party Version 2.0. The fisrt group of candidates from 2010 contained a distressingly high number of people with their hearts in the right place but their heads up their rear ends. In the 2011 we are once again seeing first time politicians out of the private sector, but unlike last time they are more serious, more thoughtful in speech, and able to keep their campaign on message despite Democrat attacks. Something many first time politicians and tea party favorites were unable to do in 2010.

If this becomes the rule rather than the exception this bodes very good for us and very bad for the Democrats.

There was at least one poll in which residents of NY 9 said Weiner should keep his seat. They only spoke about national issues from what I heard. IMHO, Obama was a big factor. The district is forty percent Jewish.

The House should be made up of experienced honest people from different occupations that are willing to serve for a few years and then let others share their experience and wisdom.

We do not need full time career legislators and lawyers running our country. We need people to treat our money like a trustee and spend a reasonable and prudent amount.

Check out Ron Johnson, Senator from Wisconsin. A businessman/accountant that built a plastic manufacturing company. He is the type that we need.

In all of the 435 districts, Pubs should put up a candidate whether they think they are in safe Dem districts. No one will know how Americans will think and feel after another year of this horrid Obama transgression. Even in the soviet state of Ca., where I reside, the Field Poll has 49% of people now saying, they are really angry at Bama. And this is a state where MOONBEAM is not sure if he can control his own liberal whack jobs in the state leg.
