I like the Wendys chili and I like the spicy chicken sangwich, but their burgers have always been a bit lame.

You want me to buy a burger? Start with a fat patty and use a kaiser roll. Somthing that you can mound lots of nice toppings on without it falling apart.

Yes they do.
I hope they make a better burger rather than reinventing themselves by selling oatmeal like McDonald.

I used to love Wendy’s burgers - a double with mustard, pickle and onion only. They were served hot and the meat was juicy. I liked the fries too. For dietary reasons I quit eating fast food for several years but not long ago I ordered a Wendy’s burger out of nostalgia. It was awful! The servers were hostile and surly, the meat was dry and overcooked, they put just a tiny dab of mustard on, 1 pickle slice and no onions I could find. When I asked for more they angrily slapped on a little more mustard and another pickle slice. I threw the inedible burger in the trash and am never going back. The new owners have a people problem, not a food problem.

Color me stupid, but I still don’t understand what’s happening here.

Is this truly a wholesale change, or just another item? The wording is confusing to me.

Start by making it not revolting. I've only had one Wendy's burger in my entire life, and it made me sick. The bun was completely soggy, the meat was not done in the middle, and the lettuce was so limp, it drooped over the edge of the bun like one of Dali's clocks.

I did like their hot dogs, though, when I still ate stuff like that.

I’ve loved Wendy’s. But then, there is little fast food I don’t like.

If their pickles are as I recently saw at my parents’ neighborhood 1 the other week (”crinkled”), then forget it. I hate those pickles - they’re those gross “bread&butter” or whatever pickles, instead of a proper genuine dill.

In the past they’ve had “healthy” lettuce on it, too, which I don’t like. Sorry, I’m all for iceberg. I really don’t care how “healthy” it is, Moosechelle.

Looks to me like they are attempting to revamp the burgers over all.

I think that is great, because I am no fan of limp wimpy burgers

None compare to the burgers I now make at home. No Whataburger stores in my area anyhow. But there’s a locally-owned place that makes an amazing cheeseburger when I’m in the mood.

I like leaf lettuce, it has more flavor, but put some Tomato and red onions under that so the damn stuff doesn’t wilt when it hits the hot beef.
And Honestly, how hard is it to make sure that the tomatoes are ripe?

I like the idea of having a toasted bun. I don’t know why the franchisees would make such a big deal out of it. It keeps the bun from being to soggy and at least gives the impression that someone put a little more effort into making your burger.
