Texas Gov. Rick Perry has a slim lead on former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the latest Winthrop Poll of South Carolina voters.

The poll, taken last week, shows Perry with 29.8 percent support from Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, to Romney's 26.6 percent. No other candidate is in the double digits.

Governor Sarah Palin - She will electrify the race, she will get in and she will become our next President. She is a providential leader, skilled, vetted and proven to have the executive smarts and common sense that our nations craves. Thanks for asking!

"with half her brain tied behind her back - Governor Sarah Palin.

Oh, I suspected as much but didn't want to jump the gun. Well, it is true that nobody knows more about limiting the use of their brains than Palin Worshipers.

If you define “extreme” as the only Governor in the history of the Gallup polling company’s 75 year history to earn back to back statewide popularity above 80% - the highest rated Governor in US history, then yeah - I do support an extremist.

One, only one leader, proven, vetted, wildly popular and courageous as hell could beat Mr. ObamneyCare & Merck’s top Texas salesman with half her brain tied behind her back - Governor Sarah Palin.

Wow - throw me in the shallow water before it gets too deep. With intellect like this and such brilliant commentary, it’s virtually impossible to hold a candle to your debating skills.

Okay, just out of curiosity, please give some examples of “extreme” things you expect a “President Palin” would do.

Could you please post a photo of Perry in his Texas A&M cheerleader outfit for us - he’s a real man’s man - perfect hair, zero private sector business experience, Al Gore’s 200 campaign manager, chasing little girls around with government needles, “securing our border” from radicals & illegals free entry, subsidizing college tuition for illegals that can’t be legally hired after receiving their tax payer subsidized college education and increasing Texas state debt by $4 Billion during his terms in office. The guy that only won re election because Governor Plain saved his bacon from the fire? The same Texas Governor that swore before God & every Texan he would fully serve his entire term as Governor, then turned his back on his pledge before God? Go get ‘em, sport!

Well, there are going to be two choices which is Mittens OR Perry....you said I’ll stay home...by that statement you’ve helped to re-elect obama.

This will all change once SARAH! gets in the race. When she gets in, she’ll grab up 97% of the vote, and if this doesn’t happen, then South Carolina is full of RINOs who have Palin Derangement Syndrome.

Perry 29.8%
Romney 26.6%

It’s scary as heck that Romney is even remotely close to Perry in South Carolina.

Unfortunately, the ultra secret plan of Dio, in reality I fear a "Trojan horse" for Romney, is working.

You have a teensy, weensy, wittle problem—Palin isn’t running. Now it’s time to deal in reality.

She's not a candidate and she's not running. And if she did surprise everyone and run, her negatives are so high that I doubt she'd even do well in the GOP primaries. Most polls show Republicans don't even want her to run anymore.

YOU said on post #3 that Sarah Palin would do “extreme things”. Maybe you can get me to see your way here. I’d just like an example or two of what “extreme things” you expect. Or are you simply blowing hot air?

1 - Ethics reform with teeth - tough prosecution of crony capitalism felons (AK)
2 - 35% cut in federal spending across the board in most agencies
3 - Elimination of NEA, Dept. of Energy, EPA, Dept. of Commerce, others
4 - Authorize all forms of domestic energy exploration & production
5 - Reduce corporate taxes & capital gains to Zero
6 - Elimination of 100% of all corporate tax breaks
7 - Flat or Fair tax that radically lowers all rates & simplifies the Tax Code
8 - Adopt a great deal of the Ryan Plan
9 - Repeal ObamaCare
10 - Repeal Dodd-Frank
11 - Repeal Sarbanes-Oxley
12 - Secure our entire national border with troops, walls & technology
13 - Enforce all immigration laws currently on the books.
14 - Adopt Jim DeMint’s Cut, Cap & Balance amendment
15 - Give our nation’s military top priority & funding.

All this would happen in year one, and then she’d get serious.

If I were to modify your list, I’d add Palin to your list including Perry and Romney along with the Republican losers of the past to the list, this is what it would look like.

Obama
Carter
Ford
Clinton
Romney
McCain
Nixon
Dole
George HW Bush
George W Bush
Perry
*
*
*
Reagan
Palin (She will have been served up more opportunity for greatness from Obama than Reagan actually received from Carter.)

Well, I think your expectations are insanely unrealistic but you took a good deal of your time to answer the question and I do appreciate that.

M. Bachmann has always been a sold conservative. There is no perfect candidate, and one may disagree with some of her views. But many of the attacks on her on FR, of all places, have been false and unfair. She made good points on Leno and more than held her own.

R. Perry scares me. His views on immigration and amnesty are far too left-wing. Him accepting money from Merck and then pushing for the vaccination can become a huge issue because of the media bias in favor of B. Obama.

You looking for national salvation from these faux-conservatives is like Obama looking for honor within his administration. If you are so clueless to think an establishment hack, one being “far less bad” than the Marxist in our White House is an adequate selection for restoring constitutional honor in America, after 30 years of anti-Reagan progressive-light policies from the republican ruling-class - you need to have your head examined.

Keep repeating the following: Reagan never granted amnesty to illegals.....Reagan never signed budgets with deficits.....Reagan never raised taxes.

Then tell yourself that constitutional order can be restored in one term.

If you keep repeating the above, you can stay in your Neverland Dream
