Solyndra execs to take 5th, refuse to testify before House panel (cluck.. cluck cluck..)

Solyndra Inc.'s chief executive officer and chief financial officer will invoke their 5th Amendment rights and not answer questions during a Friday hearing before a House investigative committee, their attorneys said.

Attorneys for Solyndra Chief Executive Brian Harrison and W.G. "Bill" Stover, the company's chief financial officer, sent letters to the House Energy and Commerce Committee's investigative subcommittee Tuesday saying the two executives would not answer any questions during the hearing.

"I have advised Mr. Harrison that he should decline to answer questions put to him by this subcommittee based on his rights under the Fifth Amendment," Harrison's attorney, Walter F. Brown Jr., said in a letter to Rep. Clifford B. Stearns (R-Fla.), the committee's chairman, and Rep. Diane DeGette (D-Colo.).

"This is not a decision arrived at lightly, but it is a decision dictated by current circumstances," Brown said in the letter.

Good news, but doesn’t this sound better than,

“Fast & Furious guns kill two HUNDRED poor, brown Mexicans...”

Cuz THAT is what the news is today that they’ve decided not to cover.

See how much better THIS sounds, now? See?

This beats not testifying. I’m sure the GOP candidates are giddy.

..........under Obama’s and Holder’s watch, 50 something million in cash disappears in Afghanistan, 550 million in cash is up in smoke at Solyndra, Holder’s gun packing federal agents go out “very swiftly” and confiscate all the evidence...............

duuh..............anybody getting nervous!?

.........tens of millions of dollars could be finding it’s way into accounts that only Obama himself can access some day.............all this orchestrated by the same people that put him in office in the first place. They know how to do it.

Yes indeed it does make their ties to Obama appear to be less than prudent. I wonder if they are under pressure, from the regime, to deny deny deny; while at the same time they know that the shady connections will come to light in time. If they deny, then they face perjury charges in the future as opposed to just looking like scum. Makes you wonder?!?!?!

Give one of them immunity so he can rat on the others, and on the Obamites.

This will make some great political ads. Intersperse Obama’s glowing comments about Solyndra with the exec’s pleading the fifth.

This is the kind of behavior you typically associate with Mob Bosses and Drug Kingpins, not Silicone Valley VCs.

You can bet that there are some interesting disclosures that are going to come out of this.

According to MSNBC, these are all non-scandals, just republicans trying to make them one when Barry’s regime is the most corrupt in history

Actually for them iot is a smart move. Obama has no qualms about throwing them under the bus. BTW I hope obama's bus has fourwheel drive and high clearance. The pile of bodies under there is getting quite large indeed!

Of course they’ll take the 5th - they might have to bring up the name BAMA.

Fine. Force them to attend the hearing and put them on the stand anyway. Use the time to beat the hell out of them (and the administration). Ask them undending “have you stopped beating your wife” style questions. Pontificate. Keep them on the stand without a potty break until they soil their Brooks Brothers suits.

Martha Stewart served hard time for FAR less than this. Barry and Slow-Joe have their fingerprints all over this insider trading fiasco.

Oh how I wish the GOP would learn to use PR like the RATS do. Obama out there just spewing lie after lie yesterday and today we have the libs bragging about what a good speech their "speechifier-in-cheif" gave to the masses yesterday.

Someone is going to turn and drop the dime for fear of going to prison. When that many people are involved, it’s bound to happen.
