Perry's adrenaline-packed new ad

“PROVEN LEADERSHIP” – PERRY’S NEW AD: Rick Perry’s campaign is launching an epic new bio spot today. The first 40 seconds attack “PRESIDENT ZERO,” juxtaposing eerie images of national stagnation with footage of Barack Obama taking responsibility for the economy. A tornado siren playing over the president’s voice creates a palpable sense of alarm. The last minute of the web ad introduces Perry as a job creator and veteran who believes America’s best days are ahead, rotating sunny images of the country at its best with footage from the Texas governor’s announcement speech. Lucas Baiano, who produced the spot, has signed on with Perry after working for Tim Pawlenty. Watch it: HERE.

Your point is valid, but here’s what I take from the misguided post...

An ad maker who worked with Pawlenty is an ad maker, he isn’t a RINO or an arch conservative or whatever...he makes ads for money. That’s how he makes his living. If he’s good, as appears to be true, it’s to Perry’s credit for hiring him.

Does the ad present Perry in RINO imagery? Absolutely not.

Therefore, the complaint is a crock.

Wow, Wow, Wow.

I have been aware since the 1964 campaign. I have never seen an ad like this. I don't think Hussein has a chance.

Political ad makers tend to work for those of like-minded ideology. Hence someone who works for an establishment RINO is likely going to work for another. Since both Pawlenty and Perry are...

Let them go ahead and use the RINO label over and over and over again — pretty soon the term will be rendered useless. Actually, I think it already is.

jla makes a good point. Either Rick Perry is a conservative or Sarah Palin is a liar. Which is it?

The Rick Perry I Know (Perry keeps his boot on his opponent's neck..)

....."He is an extremely astute politician with a keen sense of where voters are, and he has great instincts on message. Perry has ruthless discipline and communication. They say in politics, “Don’t let your boot off an opponent’s neck till Election Day.” Perry doesn’t take his boot off till a year after the votes have been counted and the opponent has faded into oblivion.".....

Agreed. It's been used so much that it's meaning as been watered down to nothing. Now it means, "If I don't like you on a single issue or you're running against my FAVORITE candidate, you're a RINO".

Maybe I should ask for some $$$?

There is little time to sleep when Obama is destroying the free world.

-- Strangely, they don't do this with Romney or Huntsman. --

Can you imagine a macho-macho Romney ad? He has a tough chore presenting as genuine.

Yet Perry opposed Reagan absolutely, never voting for him for President. A flipflopping phony opportunist.

Yet Perry Reagan opposed supported Reagan FDR absolutely, never voting for him for President. A flipflopping phony opportunist conservative hero.

Ancient history, Reagan was elected 31 and 27 years ago. A little bit of time has passed and a massive change in party identification in Texas and southern states.
