According to the Directive from the Department of Defense, as I read it, the homosexuals who have already declared (one in uniform) their sexual preferences were in violation.
The question is: Will the DoD look the other way by ignoring stated military law or will they, themselves, circumvent the laws that they live by.
If anyone has any information about any changes that has occurred since the this Directive, feel free to post the changes.

I kept studying the photo of him and for some reason I just don’t believe he was actually in Iraq.
I wouldn’t put ANYTHING past the activist. They have no boundries.
Nobody in uniform should be talking about their sex lives, period. I hope they go after the homosexuals in the military the same way they went after the heterosexuals after the Tailhook phony scandal.
My guess is that it’ll go winked and nodded until the next, hopefully GOP administration. Then there’ll be trouble for open poofters. No way with a GOP House is the underlying law going to get revised.
Homosexuality is an unfortunate mental illness, nonetheless we have virtually unanimous opinion among our service chiefs that they will have no problem with gay service members.

They didn’t follow the first directive not to be faggots, so what makes anyone beleive they will stop at any other directive? They are mentally ill and desire personal attention, to feel “special”. Now that being a closet fag is no longer special they will seek other attention getting actions.

The sodomites are the new Maj. Nidal Hasans. Sexual harassment training will be focused on indoctinating normal servicemembers into accepting the perverts in their midst. Complaints about actual sexual harrassment and the hostile environment created by the mentally ill perverts will be used to paint the complainers as intolerant homophobes. Most normal people will be forced into submission, while the pervs will continue to f with people’s heads (in more ways than one) with impunity.
Not too far down the road - demands by “married” same-sex couples to have equal access to family housing and spouse organizations. They’ll be eager to prepare homecoming treats and decorate homecoming signs along with the kiddies. Oh there will be only a few, so that anyone who is rightfully disgusted and concerned will be marked as a paranoid neanderthal or religious nut “with issues”.
It would seem as if simply claiming to be gay while in uniform would not be a violation, while speaking out for or against the repeal of DADT while in uniform would be a violation.
That’s been my observation. It started on the first day.
It’s the incrementalism modus operandi, and it is no surprise to anyone (even if they claim otherwise):
1. The agitators (the activists who were pressing for the “right to serve openly”) now have won what they said they wanted (the “right” to serve openly), yet they have not wrapped activist organizations that they founded for that alleged purpose - no, they will keep drawing salaries an raising funds and will find new angles to agitate.
2. The homosexuals all served deceitfully: they were breaking federal criminal laws whenever they engaged in any homosexual sex acts, whenever they admitted to anyone they were homosexual, or whenver they got gay “married” or attempted to get gay “married”. We are now supposed to applaud them when they “come out” despite their years of lies and lawlessness. When they showed up at work and announced their gayness and their longtime partner or faux gay “spouse”, the response is supposed to be “how wonderful - you’ve been breaking federal criminal law all these years - its so exciting that your years of lawlessness are offically forgotten (but of course you should feel free to bring those same years of decpetion lies and criminal activity up when convenient to prove how bigoted everyone was and still is)!
3. The Army policy was to ignore the federal criminal law. The homosexual lobby convinced the Army leaders to ignore the law and to encourage all troops and commanders to ignore the law. I am amazed that such disregard for laws duly enacted by congress was considered to be good “leadership” and good policy, let alone tolerated.
4. The day DADT was lifted, the same activists demanded more: full recognition of gaymarriedness and all the benefits that go along with that, and I am sure some will insist that there be homosexual promotion quotas and homosexual reparations and homosexual badges, and rainbow flags will be put on barracks doors to help homosexuals know which rooms are safe from “homofauxbes” and (but of course it might also indicate which guys will give head and which girls will strap on a dildo).
5. The activist attitude will immediately infest the barracks and posts/bases everywhere. The barracks will become like college campuses.
6. We will lose a war because of this.

I do believe that a homosexual can serve their country well. I believe a homosexual male can be an effective Soldier ( I say male, because, well, I don't believe females, gay or straight ought to be fighting)- but only under DADT. Only by following the rules, restrictions and disciplines put forward.
Fighting men should not have to be concerned about social issues, they should not have to be concerned that something they say or do will “offend” a homosexual soldier.

If a homosexual can not take the DISCIPLINE that is required of a SOLDIER, if he or she joins to prove a sexual friggin point, rather than love of country..they are.. a detriment for that reason alone.
I would suggest that all straight males leave the armed forces - for love of Country. Don't tolerate it, don't be PC, you are MEN! Don't put yourselves in the position pf being court masrshalled because some gay guy does not like a word you uttered.
Let this pResident have his girly man force - send them out to fight - MAKE THEM fight and live in the dirt, if they want to think they can be soldiers - let ‘em have it! They are only in it to make trouble for you - so remove yourselves from their deviant political posturing. Make them try and BE what they will never be.

Ultimately, arguing for the right to be openly homosexual, that is, to make one’s sexual preferences in the bedroom known to the world, is an exercise in self-centeredness. To enshrine this as a right within an organization that depends, for its members very survival and its own ability to fulfill its mission, on the sacrifice of the individual for the good of whole is ultimately self-defeating. DADT is the proper policy. We are now going to substitute one extreme of policy for the other (i.e. the old, old one), and probably far more demoralizing and destructive, one. How sad. The Obama administration, with its chief purpose being, manifestly, “community organizing” (community balkanizing) rather than governing for the good of the people and with the consent of the people, is a poison in the body politic of these United States cannot long afford.
In the old days, they used to give them desk jobs; driver’s jobs; or as medics (if they had any skills.)
Now they all want 4 stars for their bedroom antics!

While our politicians pontificate and try to secure their next election or first election, they studiously ignore the red elephant in the room.
Our Republic has been ripped apart from the inside and now the same thing is being instituted in our military.
They will try to calm the masses declaring...Don’t worry we’ll get our country back in 2012 as they walk through the the debris and wreckage that used to be the last hope for the world and told to just wait.
They proclaim obama is a joke, incompetent and ignorant of what our country is all about. In truth, he is absolutely aware what makes our country great and what makes it work.
