The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filed a final version of its net neutrality rules Thursday, one year after they voted to pass the framework defining the principles of an ‘open Internet.’ The vote on the framework was passed on partisan lines, 3-2.

I think everything on the internet should go to SSL (HTTPS) so that no one can tell what anyone is doing.

The worst sort of government ‘solution’ to a problem that doesn’t exist.

For those who dislike their ISP or lack of options, give it a rest. There are much bigger issues here. I don’t have to tell FReepers that any government involvement with an industry or technology will only hurt that industry or technology to say nothing of the inevitable scope creep.

Little of this will matter when the international community (which now owns the internet thanks to Obama) begins cracking down with regulations....

With a Democrat-controlled Senate and White House, what will this accomplish other than to waste time and money?

"With a Democrat-controlled Senate and White House, what will this accomplish other than to waste time and money? "

Neither the Senate nor the White House can add funds for anything.

Funding and appropriations originate in the House.

They can negotiate for increases, but if the House refuses, there is nothing they can do.

House Republicans have been woefully incompetent in their ignorance and un-use of this very important power the Founders gave them.

Just don't include the funds. Don't make a big deal about it. Just don't fund.

There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth from the left, but so what? DEFUND!

THANKS . . . folks need to realize, imho,

that the capacity of the globalists to know what individuals are doing is super enormous.

In some contexts, even to read thoughts.

Politically incorrect speech is the problem they are searching to “fix.” No doubt about it.

Net neutrality means what ever libs want it to mean. Conservative thought is not neutral and will be terminated. Always important to remember that Marxists mean the opposite of what they say.
