"Well, the last time you saw it may have been the last time you saw it. What do I mean? According to a report from The Detroit News, the ad has now been pulled by Ford due to pressure from the Obama administration".
What kind of pressure?
Why would they capitulate when they are correct?
Well, I guess it is toyota from here on out for me /s
Welcome to Fascist Amerika.
The problem is that Ford took a large amount of loans form the US Fed government too...
Ford took a huge amount of money (Between $8.5 to 10.5B) from the Federal Government... they just paid it back with interest. But it was likely Ford was insolvent if they didn’t get short term liquidity from the government at that time, as there were no private buyers participating in the auto loans paper market at that time.

Let's see. Dig dirt on private lives of CEOs and publicize it? Kill their kitties and slash their tires? Tax audits galore?
keywords: obama can kiss my @ss.
My better half has always disliked FORDs, but gained a new appreciation for them when they rejected gov’t control.
When the trash we’re driving now dies, I think we would have considered FORD replacements, but, FORD appears “pussified” by Little Stevie Dunham...we’ll probably get horses in case the fraud in the Red House invites an EMP attack, which I’m anticipating.
Idiots giving news legs to ad that ran last month.
Wouldn’t want any union problems...
Saw their new version of the ad tonight. All the same except no mention of reason they chose a Ford over Government motors. That didn’t take long.
Chicago style politics. With an Alinsky twist.
This is a dangerously corrupt and anti-Constitutional administration and the GOP leadership should be telling the American people how damn collectivist they actually are and how they are eliminating our freedom more each day. The progressive establishment GOP by their inaction have already defined their purpose...
Ford should release any documentation about the coercion and make it part of a new ad campaign, they would sell more Fords that it might help fix the economy.
Well, the UAW goons just lost their last chance to sell me a car. No goonion-made cars for me.

I have owned 27 GM cars, 39 in total. Not one more with the possible exception of the Buick Regal as I am an Opelholic. The Mustang seems to have grown up nicely and fares well in handling against much pricier competition.
My childhood revolved around the family bodyshop business. I have been an ASE cert technician, detailer, bodyman, salesman, closer, finance manager, sales manager, subprime banker, and general manager. I sort of know the car business.
Three years ago, when the auto business was slowing down but hadnt hit a brick wall yet I had Thanksgivng dinner with relatives. One of those relatives is an accomplished banker to say the least. He opined that The domestic automakers are all going down, GM will survive just on momentum and size alone, but they are doomed in the long run.
I said it would be Ford. Simple car business economics. Slightly less than half of people buy the same make of car they owned. By that math I am including Honda to Acura, Chevy to Caddy etc. While GM was pouring money into Corvettes and Caddy coupes with 550 hp, Ford made a Focus that could be owned for less than the competition and holy crap, they stopped, turned and went like a Honda when they had 130 K on them. The components (AC compressor, alternator, water pump) were all lowest bid offers to say the least, but they made cars that an 18-25 yr old could buy and like.
Take a lesson from the cigarette companies, get them young. Honda never got where they were by building a great NSX. Toyota didnt get here on a Supra. They did it by building a car that a person could buy and have faith in years down the road. Thats your bottom line builder. Not that CTS-V BMW Killer. Thats what you build when the governmnt feeds you money to succeed.
I told the sales guy I wanted Ford to BURY GM. He just chuckled and couldn't say anything bad about them. However, he did tell me a few timest that Obama was an idiot.
This is my 2nd Ford out of 5 cars in my life (first was a 91 T-Bird that I bought used in 91), and my first brand new car period.
Either play ball or be regulated out of existence by Obozo’s corrupt govt. Some choice.
I am in Iraq right now and can tell you Ford might have not been bailed out in front of cameras and in the press like GM and Dodge, but they were bailed out none-the-less. The number of Ford vehicles in this country alone is staggering. One spreadsheet I saw showed we had spent 500 million on Ford F-350s alone for the Government of Iraq. Couple that with the fact that 8 of 10 trucks over here are F150s and better than half of all SUVs are Ford Explorers. Yes, Ford got bailed out too.
Ubama’s thugs probably reminded Ford that what happened to Gibson Guitars can happen to anybody.
It’s the Chicago Way.
