I'm not sure how the links worked out, so I reposted them in the body of the thread.

As I see it, we have a few options here.

- both camps can agree that our candidates both screwed up and aren’t perfect
- we can start arguing about who’s endorsement was worse
- we can start digging up all of their other endorsements and start figuring out who’s got the most consistent record of poor judgement

I’m sure that my fellow FReepers will figure it out.

Let’s at least keep it orderly.

You also forgot. Sarah Palin not only endorsed, but ran with that great Conservative, John McCain. (And also endorsed him for re-election for Senate and stumped).

Everybody has some skeleton(s) to some extent.

The larger point being?

We could add quite a number of such instances to this thread. Duncan Hunter endorsed Huckabee. Tom Tancredo endorsed Romney. We could go on and on and on and on....

Perry supported Al Gore!

If it was between McCain, Perry or Romney I’d go for Romney and in 2008 I believe Rush would have gone for Romney too/

JMHO

You can post and link to but one source per thread.

You’re supposed to use the actual title of the one source.

Between Romney and Rudy, I’d probably lean towards Romney...but they’re both TERRIBLE for conservatives.

The first candidate that threatens to invade Mexico will get the nomination.

The Mexican government is allowing their criminals to run hog wild and threaten US national security.

Time to do another Halls of Montezuma and kill a bunch of birds with superior firepower.

WOW! Cain shows good judgement in going against McCain, the worst kind of RINO, because he claims to be conservative but licks up all the “love” he gets from the left wing MSM. If I had to choose between McCain & Romney in 2008, I would have also endorsed Romney. At least he is not old, paunchy, bald, and have bad teeth like McCain. On TV, the sharp contrast between a youthful, tall, lean opponent destroyed McCain in the much watched debates.

People endorse others for a variety of reasons. Cain sees Romney as a top-notch businessman. He probably sees himself as VP material as well.

So? In the last Primary I voted for Huckabee. And in the General, I voted for McCain.

So how is what Cain and Perry did any worse? Or better?

Why would it surprise that Businessman Cain would endorse Businessman Romney? Folks can kvetch all they want about Romney and his shortcomings as a conservative, but I’d bet the US economy would be far better off today had he been sitting in the Oval Office for the past 2-3/4 years.

Romney endorsed McCain’s re-election bid as well as supporting Scott Brown.

Palin endorsed McCain, Perry, Fiorina and Whitman. Supports Hatch based on comments.

Perry ran and supported Gore as a democrat. He Endorsed Giuliani as you know.

Michele Bachmann ,as a young woman, supported Jimmy Carter and worked to elect him in 1976, but she then switched to the Republican Party.

And Herman Cain endorsed Romney. But in 2008 there wasn’t much of a choice left. So even Conservative radio supported Romney over McCain.

And I am sure fellow freepers will drag out people Christie has supported who are anti-conservative as well.

So that is the present reality.
