WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Pentagon has decided that military chaplains may perform same-sex unions, whether on or off a military installation.
The ruling announced Friday by the Pentagon's personnel chief follows the Sept. 20 repeal of a law that had prohibited gays and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

Cage fights are getting close.
Ours is definitely the best military in the world.
Section 3. Definition of marriage In determining the meaning of any Act of Congress, or of any ruling, regulation, or interpretation of the various administrative bureaus and agencies of the United States, the word ‘marriage’ means only a legal union between one man and one woman as husband and wife, and the word ‘spouse’ refers only to a person of the opposite sex who is a husband or a wife.
A very short way from ¨may¨ to ¨must¨.
Illegal.
I hope Congress is working to quickly repudiate this.
We all knew this was going to happen and it will only get worse in Obama’s Broke Back Military.
Several years ago my SIL served in Iraq. Tomorrow he leaves his job and family for a tour in Afghanistan. He’s not looking forward to this new faggot garbage, not one bit. Among other things, he describes this perversion as a distraction.
I told him to cover his buddy’s behind. Fortunately, he didn’t hit me. ;>)
When will "may" become "shall"?
so here is my query--Where will the gays' loyalty lie? Now that they are part of us, they will suffer all of the same financial devastation that Obozo is trying to visit on the military. So what will they do? It will be funny to watch them try to figure it out. Most of the massively pro-gay pols out there are anti-military, so again I ask: Where will their loyalties lie?
My guess is that they will continue to push for more and more benefits that cost the military more money even as the military sees its budget shrink. Just imagine what might happen in the area of healthcare for military and family members alone, which is a huge part of the military’s budget.
That is when the chaplains I know will say NO.
I see where this is going. Priests and ministers of bona fide Christian denominations and Orthodox rabbis will no longer serve as chaplains. Instead, fake “pastors” will be installed, or maybe they will all be episcopalian.
But the chain of command can still tell you to go screw yourself without getting married first.
