'Disappointing' turnout at Warren Buffett-headlined Obama fund-raiser
New York Post ^ | October 1, 2011 | GEOFF EARLE and CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 10/02/2011 4:33:08 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Tycoon Warren Buffett, headliner of last night’s fund-raiser for President Obama at the Four Seasons, reiterated his advice for a tax on “ultra-rich people who are paying very low tax rates.”

But the message appeared to have limited appeal to donors expected to pay $10,000 a plate; the turnout was “disappointing,” according to one guest.

Those prospective donors must feel they have already paid their fair share!

Is this the same Warren who is fighting his tax bill in order to pay less, and ordering others to pay their “fair share”?

Perhaps this is a harbinger of future campaign events for a collapsing President.

Who in their right mind would want to pay $10,000 bucks to hear some crazy old coot whining about wanting to pay more taxes? That’s weird.

An Obama fund-raising insider said the campaign has been getting resistance from some Wall Street donors from 2008 over the proposal

I can't imagine why that would be. How unexpected.

Earth to Buffet: Warren, you can pay the government as many of your dollars as you want until either the money runs out or the check bounces (according to zero{the libtard-in-chief}, that's the American way).

Earth to the Indo-Kenyan Usurper: Soetoro, when you redistribute the wealth start first with Buffet's (trust me, he really, really wants you to).

I guess the rabble-rousing, Marxist muckrakers who are marching on Wall Street and elsewhere, whoring for their pimp Obama, can’t afford to go to his dinners. That’s the problem with loading up a constituency with half-witted malcontents and union thugs.

The “nonsense on stilts” of Billionaire Buffett’s proposal seems to have had the effect of curing a number of cases of “rich liberal guilt”, one of the more devastating psychological abnormalities of our time.

Somehow I don’t think the tepid response was because the $10,000 wasn’t tax-deductible.

Buffett should disclose publicly that higher tax rates are vital in helping his companies sell more life insurance and annuity products .... lower rates cost his companies business.

What really happened. Recovering mental deficient Zero supporters unexpectedly didn’t show up for a dinner at a miserly $10,000 per plate. Moo had picked the menu for the dinner, but had ordered out for herself and Zero. Those non-recovering mental deficients who did attend were served their peas and told to eat them or else Rahm would send some of the SEIU people to break their legs and cram the peas down your throat.

I think Warren Buffet should put his money where his mouth is and voluntarily give a large amount to the US Treasury. He can tax himself unless he is a hypocrite.

Hey Warren,
Write checks for the entire amount of all your various banking accounts; liquidate all your assets. Send all the cash and checks to the US Treasury in D.C. They’ll take your money every day of the week. Until you do that, shut your pie hole.

Obama’s speech (and the event’s general theme) that night was titled:

PAY ME 10 GRAND TO DEMONIZE YOU RICH GREEDY BASTARDS

Wounder why the turnout was bad.

“Is this the same Warren who is fighting his tax bill in order to pay less, and ordering others to pay their “fair share”?”

This is the Buffet that is being blackmaled (pardon the pun) by Obama in that if he doesn’t play ball with whatever Obama wants him to do/say, then he won’t be let off the hook for his billion dollar tax bill the gov’t claims he owes. If Buffet plays ball and kisses up to Obama, he’s off the hook for the tax bill; if he doesn’t, his financial goose is cooked, tax-wise. So, Buffet kisses *ss, and throws fundraisers for Obama.
