Obama gun warriors shoot themselves in the foot
The Fast and Furious gunrunning probe is creeping closer to the Obama White House. It appears administration officials were willing to sign off on just about anything to accomplish their ends, and the result of this botched operation has has been over a hundred dead. Someone needs to be held accountable.
On Friday, the administration reluctantly released new and incriminating documents showing then-Special Agent William Newell with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) had discussed details of Fast and Furious in a series of emails with White House National Security Council staff member Kevin O'Reilly. In one of the communications, Mr. Newell gave Mr. O'Reilly a heads-up about an upcoming press conference announcing indictments in a dozen straw purchaser firearms trafficking cases and a Gun Runner Impact Teams performance report containing statistics on investigations.
The congressional probe is no longer limited to just the ATF. Early on, the White House denied it had any knowledge of the gunrunning program. Agent Newell, who headed the Phoenix, Ariz., office from which the schemes operations were directed, contradicted that claim when he testified on Capitol Hill in July. The just-released emails reveal that not only did briefings on the shady gambit reach inside 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but the information provided was extensive.

Watergate was just a 3rd rate burglary with a Presidential cover up after the fact. Fast and Furious has 100’s of people dead with at least one agent on this side of the border dead. No comparison with the two crimes and our illustrious msm is mainly silent with a few exceptions. However to the msm Watergate was the worst crime ever.
I suspect that this program and others were part of what our President meant when he told gun control advocates that the administration was doing something to advance gun control, but that it would be off the radar. Kind of hard to keep something invisible when the body count starts climbing.
I suspect that when the truth is really known about this, that it will be clear that illegal activities and human life mean nothing to this administration if it furthers their anti-gun supporters.
How sad.
“Over one hundred”...?! It’s over TWO hundred —and they only counted dead folks laying around the gun’s LAST kill..! Does anyone REALLY think it’s just 200 RIGHT NOW..?
Only 1/3 of the guns have been found —when we get them all back (if ever) the number of confirmed dead will be over 600..!
And 6 US lawmen might be dead, by then.
Why are we keeping the poofy gloves on?
Watergate was nothing compared to this and the enemedia know it. As more details slowly leak out the media realize it and are in the dilemma of their careers. If they report fully on it their golden boy they got elected will be gutted but if they remain silent they'll be shown for what they are.
Let the sunshine in, it's past time this turkey in the WH is nailed.
Agreed, it’s got to way more.
The enemedia are treading lightly but that’s going to change, and sooner rather than later, IMHO.
Since these are presumed innocent victims, can we say Obama qualifies as a likely suspect in murder ?
Input needed. Have now started a new ping list called BORDER WARS since so many of these stories are starting to intersect and overlap. I would like to keep the Gunwalker threads separate. Let me know if you want on the Border Wars list. It will NOT be the same as Gunwalker, though they might overlap occasionally. Please ping me to any articles you think fit in this catagory. Thank you.
Has there been a news blackout on the Mexican government investigation. I;ve seen several reports that such an investigation is happening, but no news at all beyond that.
If I was in Mexico I’d be steamed
I don’t know if there’s been a news blackout but I’ve seen nothing either. If in fact there is an investigation and there’s a blackout the Mexican people and all us have a right to be steamed.
Jazz, I honestly don’t see how Eric Holder remains as AG much past the Elections. If any of the evidence of his personal involvement in this is true, and there is no reason to believe it is not, there is no way he can remain in office with the amount of attention this is about to get.
God Bless Darrell Issa. May he keep the heat turned up as high as possible on this one.
Won’t Issa make an ideal AG himself in the next Administration. We’ll need someone of his caliber to clean up the mess at DOJ...
Since these are presumed innocent victims, can we say Obama qualifies as a likely suspect in murder ?
Potentially as an accomplice. His real problem begins if the civil rights violation is pursued. And the feds have gotten convictions on some 1960's-era civil rights murders more than 40 years after the fact.
UNITED STATES CODE, U.S. CRIMINAL CODE TITLE 18 §ECTION 241
Conspiracy against rights
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
That, it would seem, would qualify as high crimes or misdemeanors....
I couldn’t agree with you more, BC.
I can’t believe Holder’s still in the office. He’s been in the middle of many cover ups and down right ignoring of the law, this is not the way our Justice Dept was meant to be run.
Amen to your comments on Darrell Issa, he’d be a great AG, IMHO. He’s a man of integrity despite the hit pieces written a few weeks ago, he’d be a real breath of fresh air as AG.
On one hand, you've made history by convincing America to vote for a total poser and then done everything in your power to maintain his popularity and advance your progressive cause.
But, on the other hand, here is a political cover up story that's bigger than Watergate and even comes with a body count!
You just know that every political journalist has wet dreams and wishes upon a star that, "please oh please, let it be me" to break a story even bigger than Woodward's and Bernstein's best.
And then...along comes a fast and furious, Gunwalker leaving a bloody trail anybody can follow, even a post modern journalist...omg...what to do? What do you do?!?
Just sit on it and spin???
This has not happened. ???? I do not think Holder wants to be thrown under the bus. In the back of Holder's mind he must be thinking, “What if Obama wins the election and does not pardon me? Dude, I could be in Leavenworth forever!”
I think this thing has reached a critical mass and those culpable in the administration will start turning on each other in an attempt to stay out of jail as did Howard Dean in the Nixon Administration. The key point in time is when the culpable think Obama will not be reelected.
Thanks.
Except that Watergate was a ‘Pubbie and this is a Democrat. That makes all the difference to the MSM.
