Leading House Democrat: ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protests, Van Jones part of US ‘Arab Spring’
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/05/2011 | Vince Coglianese

The “Occupy Wall Street” protests and former White House “green jobs czar” Van Jones are the beginning of an “American Fall,” according to Rep. John Larson, chairman of the House Democratic Caucus.

In Tuesday evening remarks before a group of visiting activists and journalists from Egypt and Tunisia, Larson said the United States has drawn inspiration from revolutions in those countries and, as a result, is experiencing its own “Arab Spring, if you will.”

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller following his speech, Larson said left-wing activists with “the right morals” are pushing America’s democracy to “evolve.”

I thought ‘inciting to riot’ was a crime

And as far as I am concerned...that confirms the DNC is behind this. It is not grassroots.

Dear FRiends, we are moving into the final stages. Things are going to move shockingly quickly now. The DNC will not be able to control the rabble.

It is time to move the bug-out bags to the car, make your final preparations for a long cold dark winter and if you have not done so...reach-out and locate your fellow FReepers in your area. Not just online, but really meet them and connect up.

One day will be like today, like any other day and tomorrow may be another world away.

God Bless You and God Bless America.

So far, no one has commented on the name “American Autumn”, or “American Fall.” It sounds less hopeful and inspiring than “Arab Spring.”

left-wing activists with “the right morals”

Oh please. Most of those kids are down there hoping to get laid. The women protesters are liberals, so it doesn't get any easier for a young dude to rip one off.

I think the left is trying to make more out of this than it really is. These kids are there for the street party. They have no idea what's going on in the political/financial world. South Park is about as close as they get to reality.

It’s inciting an over throw of our government and yes, it is a crime.

During the fall, leaves shrivel up and die. This is an excellent code name for what the left is doing to the country.
If they can't control it - they'll try to destroy it.

These kids have no idea what they're doing. Hopefully, if the communists try to talk them into violence, they'll rise up and walk away. Things are too good for these kids to throw it all away for some unknown, left wing communist cause that has little to do with them.

If there are any TEA partiers in the area, they could go down to the party with signs that say "Politicians and Profiteers - throw them both out!." The kids will love it, but the instigating communists won't. Include the politicians in the debate, and the whole block party will change.

The Arabs had real grievances, suffering under brutal dictatorships. Big difference from here.

I noted the name. Just haven’t come up with a witty comment thereon. “American Fall” is just that: being at the peak of polite human civilization, thanks to the luxurious bored now lashing out at Wall St. the only direction now is down - fast. “Fall” indeed.

BTW: bread flour is $16 for 50 lbs at Costco.

John Larson is what you get when you cross Teddy Kennedy with Alfred E. Neumann.

first they’re gonna have to figure out how to string together a coherent English sentence before they can “push democracy to evolve”.

That is just it. They don't want them to realize how they are being used and abused. They are called useful idiots for a reason.

Makes sense to me. Considering that the Arab Spring was useful idiots pushed along by behind-the-scenes radical Muslims, that is probably a good match for our case.

http://blog.timparkinson.net/2011/09/30/lies-damn-lies-and-photoshop/

The link there says a photo of a large crowd of these “occupiers” which is going around the internet is photoshopped. Down the thread of comments on the link above the original photoshopper admits he did it to exaggerate the numbers of “occupiers” to get people to come and “occupy”.
