Establishment republicans like Bush, Rove, Boehner, etc all think that if the libs say 10 things, and all of them are outrageous and wrong, you have to agree to 5 of them to be “fair”.

This interview had me screaming at the TV.

I guess all American blacks whose grandmas sat at the back of the bus need to be ashamed, according to Lawrence and other liberals ...as well as those whose grandparents perhaps sat home and didn’t make it to the marches. They must not be worthy of being called American.

If I was black, I’d be spitting bullets.

It’s a wonder Cain didn’t slug him on camera. He’s a saint for putting up with that marxist weasel snot questioning his blackness and decisions on how to cope during those times -— as if it wasn’t hard enough on black Americans to deal with.

Not to mention his CRAP grilling about not having served in Vietnam. This was a horrificly hostile interview which Cain handled with class.

I don’t respect conservatives who show up on too many liberal shows. Liberals are the Jerry Springers of the world - or worse... and we don’t need to be feeding their delusions.

Mr Cain aint perfect, so i cant support him.../perfect is the enemy of good...

hes got a couple issue to hone, but is at least willing to stand his ground and effectively counter-punch...

i like that the lib standard tactic of throwing out the last word before changin topics was smacked down...

The only answer he could have done better was the one about running as Romney’s running mate. He should have said that HE would consider a lot of candidates for his running mate, not vice versa.

Note that he did not attack any of his opponents or the slimy O’Donnell, just the emperor and his shills.

also, i saw the groundwork being laid to try to use the race card against Mr Cain...the ‘brainwashing’ angle will soon be met with the ‘uncle tom’ card, and a full throttle attempt to paint him as whiter [ideologically] than the half black messiah...who of course as a candidate vs mrs bill clinton, wasnt ‘down wit da struggle’ either...

"Actually would have liked to see him just tell LOD “STFU you stupid brainwashed communist POS; you’re nothing more than Shoeshine Boy’s water carrier...” "

Actually, when O'D was asking Cain why he wasn't protesting too, Cain should have thrown it back at him and said that he wouldn't need to have protested if there weren't people like HIM making a need for people to protest. If HIS people (O'Donnel's)weren't out there MURDERING the protesters, then he wouldn't have had to protest! Throw it right back in his face, Herman!

That is a SERIOUSLY perfect response...to EVERY Dem who tries to bring that sh*t up. It is brilliant.

You should seriously consider contacting and sending it to Herman’s campaign folks. THink of the impact it would have on a lot black Americans. Many of them have ZERO clue that it was the Democrats that were fighting tooth and nail to prevent the Civil Rights movement from happening.

At the very least, it would make the lib’s eyes bulge out of his head in a fit of apoplexy - in and of itself, it would be fun to watch...

RE:”I don’t respect conservatives who show up on too many liberal shows. Liberals are the Jerry Springers of the world - or worse... and we don’t need to be feeding their delusions

I dont respect Republicans that go on liberal shows and let themselves be made to look stupid or that waver under questioning. The most obvious is RINO Steele who gets paid to go on MSNBC everyday and make Republicans look stupid, and there are some others there too like RINO Lazio.

Alternatively there was a delusional hoax theory that conservatives could and did have a uber-conservative ‘candidate’ that was going to only give ‘interviews’ on very friendly shows and never have to take a real question on anything. The way that legend went was this uber-conservative was going to waltz into the WH without even doing a debate let alone an interview. We we told it was brilliant because it had never been tried before and would catch everyone by surprise."Just wait and see" we were told over and over.

Who was promoting this non-sense? Those few media outlets that were rewarded with ‘exclusive’ interviews for throwing softball after softball, hint : AM radio. But like all dreams eventually it had to come to an end and wasnt pretty.

Cain has guts and brains, that impresses me. He is (appears to be so far) real and honest.

Exactly. Too often Republicans end up looking like idiots, which is why they are invited on. Cain doesn’t do that, and I suspect he knows that he won’t be invited back, but it is a way to get his message across and his name out there to people (esp independents) who watch those shows. It isn’t a bad way to get some swing voters if you can handle the heat and so far it looks like Cain can.

SoL, you are correct. Conservatives cannot afford the delusional approach of thinking that we can operate in some sort of bubble or vacuum, granting interviews and interacting only with media outlets and talking heads that are perceived as being favorably inclined to the conservative point of view.

Like Daniel in the Bible, true conservatives need to be willing to walk into that lion's den, knowing they have no friends on PMSNBC, ABC/CBS/NBC/NPR/etc, and stand their ground, defend their positions, and take no crap. Look at Rummy, he went into an interview with a sneering al-Jazeera propagandist pretending to be an 'objective' reporter, and when that yammering yokel tried to attack Rummy, he got his ass handed to him and it wasn't on a platter of falafel either.

Herman Cain is of the same mold. He has faced all sorts of adversities and challenges and he continues to stand tall.

Like you, so far I like what I see, and Cain is a damn sight better than Romney (an unspeakable choice) and Perry (an open borders disaster). He's 20 points ahead of Romney if you believe Zogby, and that says something. Even 10 points ahead would be considered a major development.

RE :”SoL, you are correct. The problem is that we (at least me) need Republican candidates vetted and if they only go on friendly shows that throw softballs one of a number of things will happen: 1) They will get creamed in the general election,2) they will be a time bomb unknown once in office, or 3) they are not even running.

Where many apparently get sidetracked is that they decide they can magically know that a person they have ever met will do ‘the right thing’, or alternatively they don't really even care what they will do in the future office (like those defending Romney), they just want to beat the Democrats with ANYONE and vetting a Republican candidate by asking him/her questions is considered attacking and weakening them and a bad thing. Seeing them promoted on softball shows with nothing 'questions' is considered a brilliant strategy.

A Republican candidate interviewed by Hannity is about as worthwhile as watching Obama interviewed by Rev Al. Shapton the King of Obama Koolaid sellers.

Alternatively Republicans that go on these MSNBC shows (usually they are paid) and allow themselves to be debated 2 or 3 against 1 are pretty annoying to watch.

Thats OK, I got a feeling we will get you-know-who (see tag line) instead much like we got McCain in 2008, after 'everyone' said it could never happen.

Here's the thing - I want our people ‘vetted’ too.

But I don't want a bunch of liberals who hate us doing the vetting. After we pick our candidate, fine - let them go on liberal shows if they want to, but until then we should stick to our own.

I'm sick of liberals picking our people - and yeah the press pushed McCain - until he was running against a dem - then he was dropped like a hot potato.

Cain is being passively pushed by some liberals because they must feel he would be easier to beat. Have you noticed they have NOT given him the Sarah Palin treatment? Dems have great oppositional research teams. And the press in their pocket... it's how they took Sarah down. Herman Cain's not getting the full dem hate bit. McCain didn't get it either. They hold back on people they want us to run... Do you want to give them that power? Palin wasn't invited on liberal shows BECAUSE people liked her more after they heard her. That's two tip-offs.

How many times did Obama appear on FOX when he was in the dem pack? I don't think he went on once until he was ‘anointed’..

Cain kicked butt in that interview.

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings. Either way, the violin is sweet yet lethal.

Do it!

RE:"Why are you watching that garbage in the first place?"

sickoflibsand other freepers do the dirty work for all other conservatives. Call it enemy reconnaissance. I didn't watch this utter smack down by Herman Cain. He didn't mealy mouth as so many other conservatives do when confronted by smart Ass liberal "interviewers". Kudos for sickoflibs and Kudos and Mr Cain for doing what millions of conservative wish they could do if they were attacked by these smarmy black holes of humanity.

Cain just gained another voter...

Our own?? You mean the ones that ask tough questions like :What do you think your opponent did wrong today? Who is our own? FNC??? Dana Perino??

RE :”Have you noticed they have NOT given him the Sarah Palin treatment? Dems have great oppositional research teams. And the press in their pocket... it's how they took Sarah down.

Now they took Sarah down?? That is the new spin? Give me a break. What did they have a gun to her puppy's head Wednesday night when she called that radio show.? Last weeks spin for + two years were that the 'attacks' were just more proof that she was going to win the election. But now she was taken down?

Here was a liberal magazine :

palin I can win
