Rick Perry Remarks at Values Voters Summit
C-SPAN Video ^ | October 7, 2011

Posted on 10/08/2011 12:01:07 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Some hold this world view that government must be central in our lives and serve as our caretaker - they seek more than equal opportunity, they seek equal outcomes. Those in the White House today don't believe in American exceptionalism, they'd rather emulate the failed policies of Europe. But we see what their policies have led to. 14 million Americans out of work. 45 million Americans on food stamps. And according to WSJ, nearly half of Americans receive government assistance.

Perry is interested in building up the Texan border with globalists of like minds.....until his interest is in the entire nations national security all that he states is rubbish because of his motives and agenda for Texas.

Millions on millions have been sent to Texas along with manpower.... and no matter how much and often Perry continues to co-tow to the Mexican Gov. and encourages illegal immigration by his policies.

The problem is Perry not the government and surely not the American people who have opposed the nonsense Perry has attemtpted in his state.

It is not a good thing to support a candidate who encourages illegal immigration nor invites it personally by his actions in order to continue with his agenda for globalist asperations. Perry does just that.

No thank you...I do not want America to be in any wise as the state of TExas is today. You will surely, in time and tide, have a serious muslim problem...of which Perry has more than invited into your state. That is not the face of the US Americans want to see!

It’s not the job of the State of Texas to secure the border - it’s the job of the Federal Government. Is this correct or not?

Where are your links, your sources?

he is utilizing a Texas Ranger force on the border.

You might add just how small a force that is instead of tooting it as some great feat. What is the entire Texas Ranger force? maybe about 119 total?

.........They are limited by law as to what they can do, but up to the limits of the law they are as active as can be right now.

And border states have discovered that Obama-Holder have supplied guns to the Mexican Cartels.

Arizona sheriff's blast "fast and furious" gun smuggling operation PHOENIX, AZ (KOLD) - Ten out of the fifteen Arizona Sheriff's have joined forces and slammed the Obama administration on Friday, over the botched "Fast and Furious" gun smuggling operation.

Sheriff's said they felt betrayed by the federal government, and an operation that allowed almost 2,000 high powered rifles to make their way into the hands of Mexican cartel members.............

Attorney General Eric Holder has denied knowing anything about operation "Fast and Furious", and called it "political posturing" by the Sheriff's.

"We're here united as Democrats and Republicans. We have five democrats and five republicans represented here," said Babeu.

The group said they were not motivated by politics, but by a sense of brotherhood over loss of one of their own.

"Where is the honor of our country when a brother officer is murdered in our state here in Arizona, protecting our country, and then we find out two of these weapons were from Fast and Furious," said Babeu. Of the 2,000 guns about 1,400 were still unaccounted for.

The sheriff's said they want Holder to be prosecuted.

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik was not in attendance. A spokeswoman from his office said they had not comment."

Excuse me, do you prefer the nasty tactics of those who hate Perry (for no valid reason) to a polite response to a troll who intruded on a Perry thread.

I appreciate the social graces.

Has or has not the Governor asked for Federal troops? Did he or did he not win an extension of the National Guard deployment on the border?

Perry on Border Security

The thread linked below contains facts that Perry has officially requested by letter to Obama, letter to Napalitano and letter to then-Defense Secretary Gates, National Guard troops to be deployed to the Border to act in support of border enforcement operations currently underway.

I heard his wife in a NH appearance tell an attendee who asked her about the Border that her husband has sent letters as well as publicly asked for troops, and Anita Perry told the person that the federal government officials refuse even to reply to the letters, officially ignoring them as if they were never sent.

(AZ Governor Brewer has reported the same thing, that every attempt at communication on border issues with the feds, of hers, is deliberately ignored.)

Remember the photo of Perry trying to hand deliver a letter to Obama on an Obama visit to Texas last year. An aide to Obama took the letter but once again it was officially ignored.

Governor Perry literally had to crash that Obama-at-airport-in-Austin scene, because Obama was there only to fund raise. Earlier he said he could give the Governor a few minutes on the tarmac if Perry would fly to El Paso from Austin to meet him there. Perry refused to do that, but did crash the Austin landing and had a letter requesting federal troops in hand.

Hoc....we’ve been around this time and again...sources have been posted time and again and again of which you attempt to dispute and fail at.

You can cry it’s the Governments repsosibility to protest the border all you want but taxpayers are sick and tired of doing so when Perry is the problem by his polices which encourage illegal infilitration and further his globalist agenda to “secure” Texas as an international hub....

Perry’s interests are for Texas...period...as that of his supporters who all stand to gain by his Presidency...which will give him what he could not obtain from taxpayers...I will not support a candidate who has self interests for his state and that over our national security.

Yes, the hysteria over this is ridiculous. It’s not only inconsequential compared with important issues but ...

I mean we don’t act against children whose parents are ax murderers, robbers, rapists, etc.

Those children are given a chance, why the hysteria over this?

Americans are sick and tired of throwing Perry money and manpower when he consistantly encourages illegal infilitration and bringing in foreign interests into Texas with other than American interests in mind..as a whole.

The fact there’s war on the border could have been prevented long ago....Perry was not helpful in this matter by cowtowing to Mexican Gov. and his shared agenda with mexico.
