Fast and Furious weapons found in Mexico cartel enforcer's home

High-powered assault weapons illegally purchased under the ATF's Fast and Furious program in Phoenix ended up in a home belonging to the purported top Sinaloa cartel enforcer in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, whose organization was terrorizing that city with the worst violence in the Mexican drug wars.

In all, 100 assault weapons acquired under Fast and Furious were transported 350 miles from Phoenix to El Paso, making that West Texas city a central hub for gun traffickers. Forty of the weapons made it across the border and into the arsenal of Jose Antonio Torres Marrufo, a feared cartel leader in Ciudad Juarez, according to federal court records and trace documents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

I don’t think the Bushies were trying to drum up anti gun sentiment by allowing us guns to end up in cartel hands.

And, at this point, I’m pretty much for abolishing the entire federal governemnt.

Every last stinking bit of it.

The Obama Administration is guilty of the murder of hundreds of Mexicans and at least one American border agent.

The Obama Administration is guilty of arming the cartel enemies of the nation of Mexico, an act of war.

This is a historically illegal action taken covertly by an American administration and very few are reporting what it really means.

He handed over weapons to cartels

Bloody, drug-running, government hating, murderous Mexican cartels at war with their own Mexican government and seeking to extend their reach into our own country.

The Obama administration was (is?) arming these people. An act of war. Complicity in murder. Innocent blood on the hands of this nation!

"Instead, America should demand that the ATF and other unconstitutional agencies be abolished."

I'll second that.

Yep! I sent my Senator a letter yesterday telling him we have had enough. If you are not up to the challenge then get out of the way. No response as of yet.

I’m amazed this is getting play in the LAT or anywhere else in the “media.” Imagine the literal screaming for administration heads if Bush were President.

I am SO hoping the GOP nominee hammers 0bama with this hard.

This may be unpopular here, even radical but please consider it.

End the War on Drugs.

We have this Gunrunner scandal not because we are arming freedom fighters, or those who are anti-communists. We have a federal government that has decided because of it’s war on the drug cartels, it has decided to take radical, perhaps insane steps that are getting US and Mexican citizens killed daily.

The WOD has led to more 4th Amendment abuses, challenges and exceptions than any other Amendment and now it is possibly threatening to spill over into the 2nd Amendment under the guise of controlling semiauto rifles and perhaps ALL firearms.

The Cartels exist because American drug users finance them. The drug use will never stop. But the unstable profitibility can if it is controlled and regulated. Legalization of the drugs forces the violence to stop and it makes half baked schemes like FF moot.

Obviously there would be consequences but the Constitution is better preserved.

I understand that acquiescing to the allowance of drug usage may be unpalatable, but we CANNOT go on like we are and we simply are not prepared as a nation for open conflict with narco states. The WOD is costing this nation tens of billions of dollars annually and is turning the people against the government for abuses of the Constitution.

Departments of Education and Energy have become an insult to fiscal sanity. Just breeding grounds for waste in a communist cesspool of taxpayer theft... along with the White house.

Our government has become our worst enemy, run by Acorn thugs who wish to rape us for our labor and freedom.

Looks like America better wise up and stop putting democrats in charge of the ATF.

Or anything else.

Fat chance. By the time the election rolls around, Amerikans will start seeing that free stuff signs again and want that free $175 check from the gov'mint in stim-mule-less money and vote for the has been, never was, who the heck is he, from Kenya.

Holder, etc must be charged with creating a criminal conspiracy as well as hundreds of counts of accessory to murder.

Obama is golfing. Holder is obstructing. Clinton is lying. Napolitano is rug munching. Geithner is stealing with both hands.

“These Fast and Furious guns were going to Sinaloans, and they are killing everyone down there,” said one knowledgeable U.S. government source, who asked for anonymity because of the ongoing investigations. “But that’s only how many we know came through Texas. Hundreds more had to get through.”

Torres Marrufo, also known as “the Jaguar,” has been identified by U.S. authorities as the enforcer for Sinaloa cartel chieftain Joaquin “Chapo” Guzman. The Fast and Furious weapons were found at one of Torres Marrufo’s homes April 30 when Mexican police inspected the property. It was unoccupied but “showed signs of recent activity,” they said.

The basement had been converted into a gym with a wall covered with built-in mirrors. Behind the mirrors they found a hidden room with the Fast and Furious weapons and dozens more, including an antiaircraft machine gun, a sniper rifle and a grenade launcher.”

And Mexico may have to do what our current government cannot...declare this debacle and act of war against its’ sovereignty. How could we not respond to that?

This arsenal uncovered by police in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, in April turned out to include weapons from the ATF’s ill-fated Fast and Furious operation. (La Policiaca)
