Why won't Cain attack Romney? (vanity)

Posted on 10/11/2011 10:49:05 AM PDT by teg_76

After Palin, I've been leaning towards Cain. My only problem with him is that he's much more comfortable attacking Perry than Romney.

I'm no fan of the bumbling debator from Texas who says his base has no heart, but this cozying up to Romney by Cain is concerning.

Herman Cain remains my favorite, but he needs to show he's not running for VP. He needs to go after Romney on Romneycare tonight. If he doesn't, it may be time to look elsewhere.

The one thing Rick Perry has going for him is that he's shown he's not afraid to take it to Romney, something all of the other candidates have been hesitant to do.

I don’t believe ‘ATTACKING A GOP CANDIDATE’ is in Herman Cain’s toolbox! He may disagree with another candidate’s stand on an issue, but that is NOT an attack! It is stating HIS stand on that issue.

I see still lying about Cain. Romney never said any such thing.

The only reason Perry is in the race is the GOP Establishment needs someone to split the Tea Party vote and hand the nod to Romney

Perry is Romney’s VP.

I fail to see why anyone would be attacking Romney. As you pointed out his support is frozen at about 25%. None of the conservative candidates are going to peel away any of that support in the primary, so why try. And that is going to be a group a candidate is going to need in the general, so why pi$$ off another 25% of the Republicans?

I think Mr Cain probably realizes is the real fight is for the remaining 75%. Something that Perry and his merry band of eggheads haven't seemed to figure out yet.

And who put his order of importance as: First America, then race, then conservativism? That would be the guy who race baited Perry.

The quickest way to sink Cain is for him and his supporters to play the race card. A successful corporate executive who has the background he has, is no victim of anyone.

By the way. Has Cain mentioned the racist black mobs attacking whites across the country? Would Perry be expected to denouce racist white mobs if they were running around he cities targeting blacks with beatings, robbery and and murder (lynching)?

Race bait. It’s nasty when it gets going.

Quiz. Who posts a dumb lie, and expects other folks to believe it?

Right now, he needs to become the top conservative. Then he can take on Romney. Let’s face it, Perry supporters and Cain supporters overlap in views far more than Cain and Romney supporters.

Not only is this true, but Cain has also discussed some of his history, as well as his platform if he were to be elected. Attacking other GOP candidates all the day long doesn’t tell me diddly about your platform.

Willard cannot beat Perry without Cain, seems me Willard kicked Perry's ass in the first debates and that is why single digit Perry is where he is. But then what do I know, I am just your average heartless American.

Actually, I took teg’s suggestion and checked out his (her?) post history.

Nope. Not a Perry fan. Gotta vouch for that one.

Gallup: Obama Hits All-Time Low Among Blacks as Cain Surges Among Republicans

"Gallup: Obama Hits All-Time Low Among Blacks as Cain Surges Among Republicans"

Be my thought that those voters could be picked up by Herman Cain.

Yes. But I’m not saying it. Romney is! He said it yesterday in NH. “Vote for me or Cain and you’ll be happy.”

Did you hear Rush's explination for this today? If not, you should look it up.

There is NOT collusion going on between Romeny and Cain. As Rush pointed out, Romney believes he can beat Cain in a head-to-head primary race by overwhelming him with money. So, Romney going all out to kill Perry's campaign now (including giving Cain the kid-gloove treatment now hoping he will drain some votes off of Perry).

Once Perry is knocked out, Romney will go after Cain full speed.

The only bug in Romney's plan, is Cain believes he can beat Romney head-to-head, so he's not going to roll over for Romney.

11th commandment

There is no real leader in the race so why go on the offensive and make yourself a target for others to coalesce against.

Makes you look stoopid, immature and petty.

Most candidates will flame out all by themselves for a variety of reasons, number one being lack of funds.

Etc, Etc, Etc....
