The American Conservative Union gives Paul Ryan a 92.67 lifetime rating, and 96.00 for both 2009 and 2010.

That’s hardly RINO territory.

Really? He didn't support such actions. Your arguing for the use of Gov't in those realms of business. If you believe Gov't should be involved in the business of medicine, automobiles and bailing out failed business models, I can see why you would support it. This is one of those ideological beliefs, either you support Gov' involvement or you don't.

The person that responded to you seems to be an extreme Statist.

You stated facts that can be substantiated by reviewing government documents.

I would ask anyone who supported No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part-D, ethanol subsidies, an so on this: Please point me to the Article and Section of the United States Constitution that authorizes such programs.

For all the good Bush did (Roberts, Alito, WOT), like his Dad, he had a Statist streak.

Ughh! While I agree with getting rid of Graham I would be very afraid to have him even within the succession to the Presidency......

I guess that since Cain has come out on top in a couple of polls, we can just dispense with the primary season and go straight to the general election.

Or should we dispense with that one as well and just appoint Mr. Cain president?

I like Jim Demint in Congress, but hasn’t he stated he will serve only a limited time in Congress. I seem to recall he campaigned on term limits and intends to stand by his pledge.

Ryan has an ACU lifetime rating of 92 while DeMint has an ACU lifetime rating of 99.

I like both but I'd rather, should the time come, Cain choose DeMint.

It’s DeMint retiring at the end of this senate term?

Yeah, forget years of op-eds and conservative talk radio. Not to mention a lifetime of integrity and achievement.

I never heard of him until he started running for POTUS this year. I don't remember him from 2008.

I don't get Atlanta radio!

Yes, Perry and Newt.

Just like I predicted - Herman Cain will surround himself with strong, conservative people when he wins the White House. His presidency has the potential to be one of the strongest and best in our history.

I've never really thought about his voting record...assumed he was conservative.

I luv Paul Ryan...since the day he told Obama off!

“We don’t know anything about Cain really”

In those famous words of Tonto, “What do you mean ‘WE’ whiteman?”

Most of the rest of us know quite a bit about Herman Cain and really like what we see.

Do a bit of research!

My initial reaction (besides recoiling in horror) was to cut him out of the photo and light his image on fire. Kind of reduces any possible resale value of the book though.

Thanks for the ping! It just gets better and better. He’s tilting straight Tea Party, and that does, indeed, bode very well for us.

Aren’t they both from Georgia—so one of them has to relocate officially? I know that Cheney lived in TX just before the nomination and changed his residency back to Wyoming, but both Newt and Cain’s roots are in GA, aren’t they?

Cain is indicating the direction he will go in populating his administration. It is the right direction.

I was very impressed with this comment:
“You can’t be so egotistical that you’re afraid to hire someone smarter than you,” he said. “Based upon my thinking today, I would probably look for someone that has that D.C. experience, that experience in Congress or whatever the case may be.”

This is why he was a successful CEO. It will make him a successful President.

I still think the ultimate, liberal-head exploding ticket would comprise of Herman Cain and Allen West for the following reasons:

1. West is from FL in liberal S. FL. He’s up for tough reelection, but even if he didn’t win, the share of the vote he would bring in on the ticket from Broward would be very alarming to the Democrats. If they got just 37% of the vote in Broward, 4 points better than McCain, they would EASILY take FL.

2. West has Congressional Experience and Inside the Beltway Knowledge, but hasn’t been there long enough to be gobbled up or corrupted by the system.

3. Foreign Policy Experience. Shores up what might be seen as Cain’s weakest area.

4. They’d have a legitimate shot to get at least 15% of the Black Vote and maybe even 7-8% of the Female Black Vote, which while these numbers are small, are still a significant improvement.

5. It balances the ticket without RINO tendencies, as West is still viewed popularly.

6. Your looking at landslide potential here, IN, NC, VA, FL, and OH all go Red, but NH, WI, MI, IA, CO, NM, NV, and OR could also go Red, because while Cain has been strong on the Economic issues, he’s also viewed as a social conservative, and from what we know so far, not soft on illegal immigration. This gives him a fighting chance for all the swing states in the various regions. And West does no harm to that.
