GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain (jokingly) tells a crowd in Council Bluffs, IA that his immigration plan would include moats with alligators.
If you start feeling a liitle discouraged after being bombarded with all the anti-Cain stuff being thrown out by the followers of a certain Then all you have to do is watch a video of Mr. Cain speaking like this one and the laughter makes it all feel better.

So far, I love 999. I am concerned because there are a lot of detailed questions that we have and no answers yet.
The general principle is sound. The important thing to remember (both from the pro or against position on Cain) is that CONGRESS will ultimately be writing the final bill. Not Cain.
Cain may make suggestions, but we have no idea what’ll land on his desk.
In the end, we must ask ourselves, is 999 (in it’s purest form) a generally good or bad idea?
For better or worse, congress will be the entity who’ll hammer out the details.
I was only kidding....but I would like to see as much effective fencing built as geographically and financially feasible ....this is one of the the positions that I disagree with Gov Perry.

LOL, knew you did not know. You act as if we have not been drilling thousands of wells, are if well drilling was something new. It is not. Actually i would bet that 90% of the land rigs are working, with 10% getting moved to new locations.

Cain said himself that he would sign no bill that was not good for the people of the U.S.A.. He is an honorable man.
To tell you the truth, I say no, this is not the best plan. It is the simple, lower the taxes, cut the spending and create more tax payers by creating more jobs. We were a strong country at one time and we can do it again. Of course, that is JMHO

What discourages me are all of the able-bodied, adult, FREE, ‘conservative’, Americans who can’t look crap up for themselves on the internet. It seems like half of the people here can’t be bothered to do the amount of research that a twelve year old would devote to a paper on bugs. They absorb rumor and innuendo (unless they don’t want to), then continue to spout the same crap a hundred times without ever once checking their facts.
What discourages me are all of the ‘conservatives’ who scream, cry and balk about paying taxes. They squeal like Liberals if they might have to pay a dime.
What discourages me are the ‘conservatives’ who don’t realize that they’re already paying tons of taxes hidden in the retail price of every item they buy, but holler to the moon when they might actually SEE the same amount of tax on a receipt and flatly REFUSE to accept that IT’S ALREADY THERE.
What discourages me are the ‘conservatives’ who lie and twist words to suit their agenda.
What discourages me are the ‘conservatives’ who throw conservative principles like keeping immigration LEGAL, not rewarding law-breakers, property rights and parental rights under the bus without a qualm, then bash conservative-based tax system.
What discourages me are the ‘conservatives’ who’d rather cling to a corrupt, wasteful, economy-killing tax system rather than to try something new and simple if there is the slightest chance that *they* might be out a dime.
There’s much more that discourages me, but that’s a start.

Not sure if he has a specific plan nor should he have one other than a desire to simplify and reduce taxes. He has said he favors a flat tax or fair tax. At least he does not favor both. :-)
I like Perry except on immigration where he continues to tick me off. I like Cain’s electric fence idea
So lets just suspend any revenue collection to pay our troops while they are getting the whole sales tax thing working efficiently. All we who support the FairTax heard from the naysayers was that we can't make the sudden change and keep thing like military paychecks running smoothly (like they were ever that, as a vet myself) along with other enumerated power responsibilities.
So now that someone comes along with a plan to make that transition, we have you now saying you want just the opposite. This is a one time deal, just a better way of making a smoother transition from the monster that was created over a very long time.
The other part of making it a reality is to primary out those career politicians whose oxes would be gored in the process of bringing this to a reality. This is our government and it is our responsibility to clean up what we have allowed it to manifest itself into by being lazy about keeping our representatives accountable.
And the Perrywinkles are more than willing to help out.
Yup on both. But then both are becoming more desperate by the day.
That’s why we need to complete this part of the Reagan revolution.
