Thank you for the correction. That was a dumb statement by me.

Perhaps I should of said like multi millionaire trust fund darling of the Left Adrianna Huffington who paid less then $1000 in income taxes a few years ago.

You distorted the title of this article into a whopper of a lie.

The actual title of the article is “Cain acknowledges a ‘9-9-9’ tax hike,” not what you wrote, “Cain acknowledges 9-9-9 is a Tax Hike.”

Embarrassingly, the LSM got it more right than FR. Cain acknowledged that there is “a” tax hike for “some” under 999, but as he said “most will pay less.”

Your title makes all of 999 into a tax hike — i.e., it says that everybody will pay more taxes. That is not true and I’m wondering why you didn’t copy the original title as it was.

This is another reason why FR rules require the exact title, not some interpretation of or commentary on the title, in the title box.

No it will not

Small Business owners all ready are taxes at the corporate rate. Plus they pay SS, Medicare and a whole host of additional taxes.

Small business owners and the middle class will see their taxes go down significantly

9-9-9 replaces the existing system, it does not add to it.

“Generally, I like Cain. But this 9-9-9 thing bugs me.”

Me,too. That’s what I was saying on the pro-Cain threads yesterday, but whenever you point out that the focus should be on reducing the Federal Government instead of authorizing higher taxation, you get flamed by those have decided Cain is their leader.

But taking power from congress and cronyism is priceless.

Excellent! You should make this your tagline for a while.

Doing away with tax deductions will cause some to pay a little move, doing away with all that tax accounting work will also save them money and time. Each item will have trade offs. But taking power from congress and cronyism is priceless.

Right On! Right On! Right On!

It’s looking less and less like not many GOP primary voters agree with you.

What a purposely misleading headline. So, the freeloaders will now have to pay. I thought the left LIKED the idea of people ‘paying their fair share’. . .

You really think companies are going to lower the prices of their products when they pay less taxes?

You must be a liberal or a union member because your grasp of economics is superficial at best. If competitors lower prices (because their cost structure is lower), then others either follow suit or convince buyers that there is marginal value added to their brand that justifies the added cost.

If he continues to back it, he’s done.

That's what primaries are for.

If he isn't cutting it by the convention then he is toast, if he IS cutting it, welcome President Cain.

Nothing in my reply is meant to reflect a pro or con attitude toward Cain, it's just the way it works...we shall see.

The establishment is very very afraid of Cain and his 999 plan. It fundamentally shifts taxes much more to a flat approach and closer to choice by consumers. So they will do everything to kill his message. So far, it hasn’t worked. Thank GOD.

Actually you get flamed for continuing to repeat the attack line rather then learn the facts about 9-9-9 addressed to you.

For example,

The growth of our out of control Federal Government starts with the implementation of the income tax.

As long as you give politicians a potentially unlimited income stream, as the income tax does, they will find ways to spend it.

We can cut and cut and cut but the spending always comes back. Reagan cut the most of any modern President and the spending came back plus more.

Until you address the revenue side, Federal Spending is not going to be controlled no matter how much any President cuts.

You have to limit the Congress’s ability to spend and borrow money (Cut, Cap, and tax) but then you also need to limit it’s revenue stream. 9-9-9 does that.

The genius of 9-9-9 is, for the 1st time, there is a leading Presidential Candidate putting out a plan to limit Fed revenue. The key components is the sale tax. By spreading a lower tax burden to all Americans he creates an insurmountable problem for any future tax raises.

How do you convince people to give you more taxes when they personally know they will pay for the tax hike?

See the trick now is Congress can always disguise any tax hike by hiding it inside the overly complex tax code. By tweaking around the edges with the tax code they can gradually and systematically raise taxes with virtually no one noticing.

9-9-9 eliminates that ability to “tinker around the edges” of a mind numbingly complex tax code

You need to sit down, with a calculator, learn details of 9-9-9-9 plan, compute your own specific situation, post it here to show actual numbers, before passing judgement on it. I have done that, posted actual examples WITH NUMBERS.

Let us assume prices do not go down. Let us assume Business just pockets the tax cut.

Fine, that is much better for average citizens then the Fed Government getting it.

The money the business saves on taxes either gets paid out in dividends (think increases to your 401k or pension fund), get invested in building the business (i.e. more economic activity and more jobs) or gets put in the bank (increase in capital available for investment and economic growth by new businesses and creates lower interest rates for all borrowers of any sort-credit cards, student loans, mortgages etc.)

However, business will not be able to just pocket the tax cut.

If Business A does pockets the tax cut, his competitors will not in order to undercut Business A's sales base. Over time Business A will have to either cut prices to stay competitive or lose market share and profits.

So either way 9-9-9 is a win for average citizens at the expense of Big Government and it's cronies.
