Michael Steele predicts Romney-Cain ticket
Daily Caller ^

Imagine this scenario: The polished businessman with the smooth and steady hand and the self-starter that appeals to the enthusiastic tea party contingent. Endorsement or no endorsement, move over, Chris Christie. Make room for a Romney–Cain ticket.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” MSNBC contributor and former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele predicted a Romney partnership with Herman Cain, the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO.

“I think what you’re looking at down the road is a Romney–Cain ticket — the merging of Wall Street and Main Street coming together to go up against Obama and Biden and to talk in those terms, the overall terms about the difference between creating jobs in a local economy versus creating jobs in a governmental economy,” Steele said. “That’s going to be an interesting debate with those two guys.”

If Romney is on the ticket, the GOP does not deserve
to survive for choosing
a backstabbing misogynist ineligible liar
who put Obama in, in the first place.

I used to like Steele. I was hopeful that the guy would grow and progress as a true Conservative. Instead he swerved leftward and got his card as a genuine RINO. And now THIS gem. It’s blather like this that made him what he is today!

Mind letting the rest of us in on where you buy your weed? It must be “good” stuff to send you on a trip like that!

I have not been a big R Republican since 1998. One meaning is I don't vote in their primaries. As long as this is a thread about predictions, I predict that before Super Tuesday Herman Cain will drop out and endorse Mitt Romney. And the Romney/Cain ticket will be formalized.

The only Romney ticket I would vote for would be a Romney/Palin ticket, and that would never happen in all likelihood.

I'm going to fight like heck for Cain (or Bachmann if she revives her campaign). But I'll still gladly vote for Romney.

Even the WORST Republican is pro-business, and for most of us our lives consist of eating, sleeping and business (with too little time for anything else).

So, *any* Republican will make an important positive impact on my life, and they'll get my vote. (And next election cycle I'll push even harder for Tea Part candidates).

The "I'll take my ball and go home" approach is not the American way.

That’s really not too hard to figure out.

So in addition to a venture capitalist on top of the ticket, the geniuses ALSO want to give Axelrod and Plouffe the “they make the brotha ride in the back of the bus” meme.

Pathetic.

Romney will pick DeMint if he wins the nomination.

Bet on it. He will follow the McCain/Palin formula, but with a loyalist to himself who he thinks will get the grassroots to overlook his flaws as they did McCain’s.

It’s a reasonable prediction. Ticket-balancing is pretty common. If Romney does get the nomination, Cain has already indicated he would be receptive to such an offer.

Why all the hysteria over what is actually an unremarkable statement?

Unremarkable statement - try propaganda as they fight to keep Mitt in the limelight of one’s mind - as if it is inevitable. And the sheep are falling for it.

And those strong in their convictions will see the tactic being played and others will say - I can see that happening. Amazing how some as so easily played with a prediction!

That's exactly what you are doing. The GOP offer up the most liberal of all candidates - whose claim to fame - Romneycare was copied by a socialist. You took their ball and went home and left any shred of conservatism in the street. Sorry - Patriots don't play your kind of ball and they know the American Way.
