Cliff, there is a lot of truth in what you say. No one should weep for the pock-marked old drag queens vicious end. But, if twere done, twere better it had been done by the Americans after Lockerbie, or by the Brits after one of his diplomats shot and killed a London policewoman, Yvonne Fletcher, in St Jamess Square, or by any other western nation after one or other of his many provocations twenty years ago. The post-Iraq Gaddafi of the last eight years was seen throughout the Arab world as a western ally. As recently as this spring, his son Khamis (a reformer, according to the State Department) was welcomed to this country and officially received at Nasa and the Air Force Academy. His visit to West Point was cut short only because the revolution broke out and he had to return to Tripoli to start shooting large numbers of people...

Eventually you will take a dirt nap. Even with a Muslim/African/Communist President, the machine keeps rolling.
"Whether we bring or enemies to justice or justice to our enemies, justice will be done."

That they had better look out for the French.
you got to find a bigger hole to crawl into........
That they had better look out for the French.
I’ll say, did you see how they dressed Moammar?
French dressing.....feh.
Badaboom...
Don’t bother trying to run; you’ll just die tired.
That our "enemies", Bibi, Lee Myung-bak (South Korea), and the like should watch out, or our fearless leader will, behind the scenes, foment their demise with the tools the USA provides the resident of the WH?
That we now take close up shots of the dead leaders, so the enemy cannot declare terrorist leaders "still alive"..or my own version of Bones:

Here’s one lesson that will foment with some Middle Eastern governments: When your people rise up, use all means necessary to squash them cause if you do not, they may take your government down then kill ya. =.=
Only in this case, the people didn't rise up, the insurgents were mostly foreigners, who were aided by NATO.
Nah, I disagree. I think is tells them:
“Don’t endorse Obama, because if he wins, he’ll support, encourage and endorse the execution of you and your family.”
I think Steyn is making the larger point that Libya made a deal on its weapons of mass destruction. Kaddafi’s dead now. What would Iran’s ayatollahs have learned from this? Get nukes and keep them.
That’s true - and scary. Libya is being treated like the East European nations who were ‘liberated’ by the Soviet Union after WW2. Much of the sweet rhetoric and violent actions in Libya are straight from the Communist playbook.
Yeah, of course....given that, I don’t believe Syria’s Assad views it that way.
Look for Libya to become down the road another Islamic sharia-base run nation.
And a lot of those people in the streets cheering Qaddafi’s demise, were also in the streets cheering the return of the Lockerbie bomber.
If anything, they’re upset because Qadaffi “went soft” in his later years.
"You, too, can stand against your opponent fighting wars against real terrorists, then turn around and create an completely ridiculous 'justified' war, oust a ruler and supporter his murders, all while maintaining your Nobel Peace Prize."
Syria is different than Libya. Which is why Obama isn’t doing anything about it.
1) Nuke up.
2) Make oil/gas deals with Russia and/or China that include mutual aid pacts.
3) Seize NATO member citizens using criminal charges for hostage purposes.
