A recent Eagleton Institute of Politics poll found that word choice matters when gay marriage figures into the question.
According to the poll, 52 percent of N.J. residents questioned are in favor of gay marriage, but the number jumps to 61 percent when the question is framed in terms of "marriage equality".
Thirty-nine percent oppose legalizing gay marriage, and only 27 percent are against marriage equality.

it is no longer homosexual marriage it is now “equality” marriage. it founded on the assumption that recreational sex by homosexuals has the same result as normal sexual congress.
Somehow by passing a law, homosexuals will have sex with each other and become pregnant.

Consider the gargantuan advantages the sodomite lobby had. They had a supreme court decision in effect, making counterfeit "marriage" the "law of the land," already. Possession is a powerful asset to vote against. They had a willing puppet of an Attorney General in Brown, who titled the Proposition with a derogatory reference against Prop 8. Any push to attempt to overturn true marriage in the CA Constitution will be much harder for the sodomite lobby to accomplish, in my opinion.
States rights are the real issue.
I see a future where the States finally stand up & tell the Feds to pound sand.

Another point is that the general trend as far as abortion goes seems to be going pro-life in the last decade or so. Something similar could be happening with “gay marriage”, although I haven’t seen any evidence of this.
If NC doesn’t pass in the 60s in May then I think that would be a good indicator. If it is in the 50’s I would have to say that it seems to be still trending for the homosexualists. All speculation on my part, of course.

Letting the state get involved in marriage is what's at the root of the whole kerfluffle to begin with.
Agreed. But my speculation is that the vote will be at least in the 60's or higher for the amendment. If it is not, it will be due to rampant election and voter fraud. The Despotcrat governor did just veto the legislature's voter I.D. bill in that state, and it was exactly for occasions just as this.
I would be shocked if NC only passed it in the 50-60% range. The iffy range would be like 61-65%. If you look at the states around NC and exlude Va’s 57% in 2006 as an abberation, they all passed their pro-marriage amendments in the mid 70s and low 80s, with most of them coming in 2004 or 2006. SC was 78% in 2006, which is a very good sign in my opinion.
I reckon it comes down to how much the homosexualist agenda has advanced in 4 or 5 years. 60-65% would have been shocking ten years ago, but if it only passed in the 50-60% range then the gay agenda really is moving fast, or faster than even a pessimist like me thinks it is.

And if the question were asked truthfully, explaining that homosexuals are not born that way, their only claim to being a "community" is the nasty and perverted way they obtain sexual gratification, and their real reasons for wanting same sex marriage - support would drop way, way down! Oh, and their higher propensity to molest children, that would be the final blow to any measurable support.
Again, don’t underestimate the rampant extent of election fraud being perpetrated by the homosexual activists aided by the Democratic machine. I think that most high-profile elections with heavy polarization (e.g., Wisconsin) on the issues are skewed 3 to 5 percentage points because of Democrat fraud.
Well, I would say letting the state condition people to think that marriage comes from them was a huge mistake.
I don’t know what the solution is, state involvement wasn’t that bad for a long, long time. But once it was involved the risk was always there, that the state would usurp the role of faith in the institution.
I think what is probably going to eventually happen is some faiths are just going to ignore “state marriage” and take whatever punishment comes down for rejecting the state’s take on it.

The fraud aspect is a good point. But if that is the case, and I think it is plausible, it is already built into the past amendment vote results. Do you think it’s a good thing or bad thing that they are holding the vote during the primary election?

I remain neutral over whether it is "good" or "bad" to have this election during the primary. The amendment sponsors were pushed into it because of the predictable Democratic accusations of trying to inject a "wedge issue" into the general election. But I think it will be a boon to the success of the amendment. Republicans are mostly in favor of conserving real marriage, so the primary electorate will be ready made for overwhelming passage.
I pretty much agree with that, it makes sense. I was just thinking if folks come out to oppose pres. O , they might also look at the amendment and say “yeah, I don’t dig that gay stuff either.”

you know the poll and article is biased when they call it marriage equality.
Everyone can marry but only to the opposite sex, however if they want marriage extra special rights then it should be given to all kinds of marriage i.e. family, more than one husband / wife 10 year olds etc.
Now that would be marriage equality but of course the left play their name game like dream act = amnesty, jobs bill, -= pay off to special interests and spending bill, gay = homosexual.
Well this conservative and I hope all conservatives will not play their name game and call a spade a spade.
