Poll results show more support for marriage equality

A recent Eagleton Institute of Politics poll found that word choice matters when gay marriage figures into the question.

According to the poll, 52 percent of N.J. residents questioned are in favor of gay marriage, but the number jumps to 61 percent when the question is framed in terms of "marriage equality".

Thirty-nine percent oppose legalizing gay marriage, and only 27 percent are against marriage equality.

"Framing matters, and we know that," said David Redlawsk, poll director and a professor of political science at the University....

They had to do a study to figure out that the wording of a question affects the answer?

where’s the *barf* alert.

it’s really a little too early to think about demented fudge packers pretending to be married.

“They had to do a study to figure out that the wording of a question affects the answer? “

Hey, it’s a lib arts group. Getting past the elementary math functions of adding/dividing completely sapped their abilities for the moment.

Heck, they’ll probably have to take an extra toke or two when they go to one of the “Occupy” movements,

So in other words, the people being “polled” haven’t got a clue about what they want. The numbers are all over the place depending upon how you “frame” the question. “Polls” are a joke.

All marriages ARE equal.

Of course, I’m talking about marriage as defined in law and society since the dawn of civilization.

I can call a giraffe a dog but that won’t make it bark.

The left is up their usual trick of declaring something ‘normal’ and demanding ‘equality’ shortly thereafter.

The polls are garbage. Just allow a vote - the TRUE poll - in every state to define marriage as a man and a woman, and you'll get the real answer.

But leftists will fight such true polls to their death.

They’re trying to figure out the various iterations of poll questions to generate results that those who commission the polls want. In this case, the pro-homosexual marriage lobby.

In other words, academic justification for corruption.

Americans better fight this abomination now, and fight hard. Marriage and the natural family are the building blocks of our society.

The fun parts fit
And they make a baby
For that to happen
Takes a man and a lady

Any other way
Dude, that’s just gay
Walk away, my friend
With a sore rear end

That’s not love
It’s really anger
Not only that
Your life is in danger

There’s a better way
But you gotta listen
God made you right
No more hissin’

There’s no such thing as gay marriage no matter how much liberals try to convince its like the real thing!

We never heard of gay marriage before the turn of the century, for good reason. Its just another chapter in the Left’s relentless assault on the traditional family and bourgeois values.

“But leftists will fight such true polls to their death.”

I agree that these polls are flawed, and give different results than what actually happens in the voting booth. But as soon as the statists and homosexualists think they have the numbers they will be screaming for popular votes. If prop 8 is upheld by our black robed masters, look to see another amendmen repeal process started soon after.

“Of course, I’m talking about marriage as defined in law and society since the dawn of civilization.”

If the law is just what the majority of people think it is at any one time, then it is subject to change. A recent poll has 40% of folks thinking that marriage comes from man and thus the state.

There already IS 'marriage equality'.

Gay people have the same right to marry a person of the opposite sex, just like everyone else does.

It's not about equal rights, it's about SPECIAL rights.

Americans are fighting back as best as can be done under the law.

Since 1999, we have seen a majority of states pass state constitutional amendments defining marriage in their states as a man and a woman. 31 states have such amendments. Next year, North Carolina and Minnesota are set to vote on the definition of marriage.

These amendments stop state judges from imposing homosexual marriage, but liberal federal judges may well yet impose homosexual marriage on all 50 states.

The liberals are determined to get a Brown vs. Board of Education type of Supreme Court ruling on homosexual marriage someday. They may get it. One federal court ruling could sweep away all of the state laws on the subject of marriage.

The liberals show pure hypocrisy on this issue.

They say that states should define marriage, when the issue of a federal marriage amendment was discussed.

Yet when states are defining marriage in the traditional marriage, they don’t like that either, so they are starting to take these marriage lawsuits to federal court to override whatever a state decides.

Homosexuals already have equality when it comes to marriage. They have the exact same right to marry someone of the opposite sex as anyone else.

Of course wording matters— so does having armed black Muslims standing outside the polling place. As to “marriage:”
I dont give a rats behind what the Reprobates call what they do —it is NOT “marriage” it is not equal to “Marriage” it is fraud— and political deception. It is everything it is called in the “sacred writings” and the modern State has NOT produced ANY credible scientific evidence to support the claims that same sex unions equate to “marriage” .If you pour dirt into a glass of pure drinking water- you can call it whatever you want it will remain dirty water. You can beguile silly women and slaves into saying same sex unions equal “marriage” but it remains as it is deception.

As I mentioned in an earlier post to you, I believe the "support" for same-sex "marriage" has reached the saturation point, as is likely waning; especially considering the blatant Gestapo tactics used by them in full view now.

No, even in California, a re-vote on the constitutional amendment to define marriage will fail for the sodomites.

The cure? Elect representatives who will speedily impeach judges who exceed their constitutionally-legitimate mandate.

I hope you right. But my point is that the horrors of a popular vote on “civil rights” will be quickly embraced by the left if the homosexualists think they have a chance of winning.

Cali passed prop. 8 by 52% in 2008. If there is a saturation point, I think it must come very close before it kicks in, at least for some areas of the country. The gaystopo tactics is a good point, but I think young folks view it as a “civil rights” issue, and don’t care what tactics get used. But the younger folks are much less likely to vote at all, and I could definately see older folks being disgusted with the tactics of the homosexualists, maybe enough to attract more to the voting booth. Minnesota will be interesting.
