Conservatism is for me about one thing:

The Damned Truth.

and from that one can derive what works best, how folks behave, a belief in a creator and all that falls into place for empiricism and conservatism.

But right now.

It seems TRUTH matters not much to anyone on either side.

It’s more about how much can we hold our nose or how much is acceptable or how can we parse this and so forth.

What an abysmal bunch.

Sad.

Where is a Reagan?

Are we really gonna end up running against Obama with any less than stellar candidate.

Just someone whose prior skeletons are tolerable?

That includes Brett. He sat there like oh really. China is working on Nuke power for subs. You know the media THINKS they are just so clever and they control what happens.

When in reality they continually show their ignorance.
I don’t know if it really happened but remember when reporters or investigators actually hit the streets looking for the truth.
Not anymore, they sit in their offices waiting for a tweet, text, fax, or a phone call. Lazy.

“Newt is getting ahead of himself.”

I respectfully disagree. Newt Gingrich of all things does have a knack for being a GOP Team Player. He wants someone close to the policies he argues for to win, regardless of whether or not it ends up being himself that wins the nomination. He’s simply not putting all of his eggs in one basket right now. I agree with him as far as that goes, I am really disappointed with the policies and attitude of our president over the past few years, especially in terms of bills not passing, when there’s more details per bill to take a look into why some wouldn’t wish to pass it. There’s no need for the president to go around claiming he’s such a big hero for every bill that he believes “should pass”, no need to appeal to my emotions either. We need to seriously pass policies with caution right now, or this recession, depression, or whatever else you like to call it can go on for a really long time...

The problem I have with our current president is first, the attitude, and second the policies to which he applies the improper attitude. The fact that a person can make some mistakes is one issue, but when a person tries to use B.S. to justify their mistakes, that’s another matter, and all the more disturbing. Take for instance the current jobs bill, some days it feels like our current president is not up to the purported intelligence on the matter. What about the new jobs bill is supposed to be any different? What about it is supposed to help, no need to appeal to emotion either, given that the unemployment is pretty much stagnant, that’s a problem.

Hello jag...I’m in Newt’s court and likey very soon be contributing to his campaign...looks like he’s doing well in that respect now.

Recently read an article from Newt’s second wife...interesting she decided she wanted to keep “Gingrich” as her last name and not go back to her maiden name..but then she holds no bitterness toward Newt and supports his run and the Tea Party.

People still want to believe the “stuff” out there about his marriages but it is clear they have all moved on ahead..and still respect and understand one another....so can others once they really look at the whole story with his wives.

As for Cain....Newt is right in what he advised cain should have done..absolutely..and because he didn’t he’s been winging it pretty much. Though it saddens me to see that because like most we all like Cain.

Here’s Newt’s stance now on Global Warming...and he does comment on the Pelosi couch thing. Like most he changed his stance once the science was shown to be bogus...and here he fights against Gores claims...good video...

Well Newt’s Rass. Poll numbers just surpassed all the others in double digits bringing him ‘in third’ at this time...and that’s a very good place to be..if you’re a poll watcher.

Cain’s numbers don’t have to come down for others to come up the rank and file....Newt’s moving slow and easy and that is something which is being noted. Cain cannot maintain the height he’s reached so fast ...he’ll level out soon.

Oh thank you for reporting in Georgia Girl...I was waiting to hear how it went...Newt’s worth going to hear even when there aren’t elections!

Did he mention getting rid of the CZARS? I know this is part of his plan when his feet hit WAshington...fire them all!

most of Newt’s comments since this broke have been supportive of Cain. (which is smart and honorable on Newt’s part).

Yes, I agree...Newt was more than a little irritated at the media smear of Cain, as are most of us. They tried this with Perry but it died fast....Cain on the other hand has not helped his position,he needs to ignore it now...happened years ago and a settled deal by all.

Interesting though is once again whatever attorneys were involved before...attorneys again made money off this...they always do.

The thing that folks like about HC is that he is NOT and does not act like a politician. Just a man.

Most aren't looking for "just a man" Rio...they are looking for a President...one above the ordianary and exceptional in ability to take the highest office in our land. I don't want another obama...but someone who can walk the walk...Cain is a good man but he will need propping up in Washington as he really is quite green.

Few could care about Cains settled matter years ago...and for that matter Newt's as well...all parties of both candidates have moved beyond those times and events including the so called injured parties.

In fact Cains second wife determined to retain “Gingrich” as her name rather than go back to her married name as she still respects him and supports him. I have known other woman to do likewise. Most don't choose a candidate based on his homelife, though it comes into play..in these cases it's History..not now. And if God forgives them who are we to hold it against them.

I don’t think Newt or Cain are going to let Romney just cruise thru as he’s doing thus far.....they know he’s to be conended with and Romney thinks he’s being smart by just laying low like the sanke in the grass he is...but everybody knows he’s there.....after five years trying to be significant who wouldn’t know he’s there in the weeds!

I don't suspect that wife 1 or 2 have very many good things to say about Newt...

They are already stepping up to the plate favorably toward his election....

Yes, Cain would do better not commenting on foreign affairs because it's obvious his staff isn't informing him well at all...I susspect we'll see less of these blunders as others come to his campaign to make certain it doesn't happen again...even so it is rather “frightening” to imagine Cain has solutions for things he knows little if nothing about on the International scene...he will need to depend on better minds for those decisions until he's up to par...if he wins.

On that note if he gets bimbos into office like Obama did who know nothing of International Prodigal or the dynamics of...then we're in for more bad rides...as with obamas stupidity on International Affairs...though likely Cain’s wife won't be such a bimbo...seems like a fine Lady.

“Did he mention getting rid of the CZARS?”

Yes, Newt said that within a couple of hours of taking office that would be his first executive order. He said by the time Obama touches down back home in Chicago 40% of his apparatus would be dismantled.

Oh good because he’s right to do just that...I especially liked you’d share he’d do that in a matter of hours....

So now 40% of Obamas people Czars need to be shaking in their shoes they’ll be without jobs. Love it!..before Obama’s plane lands on the ground on his return home! hahahahah

40% of Obamas “apparatus dismantled” in two hours.....now that’s hitting the ground running!
